I made over 2k a week, through the 94 to 98 on a big horizontal rig,we hired a couple oil rig hands and told them to go home, not saying all oil rig guys are bad though. I thought 2k a week out there would be, the average wage. Hey AC22 who do you drive for, it sounds like there a big company, hireing other contractors and all. What you have going on out there is still, pretty darn good, compared to the rest of the driver jobs. Thanks again

    Hi AC22,
Can tell me or PM me what Rig Moving Co you work for ??? I'm a Winch Truck Driver with a Sidney terminaL Co ( you should be able to figure who I am refering too) about 25% have left in last couple months because of irregular hrs, 70+ 1 week then next like 35 - 45, love the job, do not really want to change but If I could get a reliable 60+ with min $24 / hr I would have to consider a move ?
Only good thing about staying where I am is that I have good chance in next few weeks getting trained to run Poles & Bed Trucks

    Thanks

I don't work for a rig moving company I was trying to say that to make 2k per week you'd have to be getting a really high dollar/tons of hours kind of job. I do know that some crude haulers make big $$ too. Most our guys are at $26.25 per hour/No OT/$500 per month safety bonus/60 hours per week....sometimes 70 or so. Pretty east work for the wages actually. Not all oilfield jobs are created equal.

Wouldn't be Speedy you work for is it?

I saw this thread and I was interested in possibly relocating to this area for a job.
Is there any place to buy a house and bring the wife or not?
I have 25 years xp CDL A driving in upstate ny with snow, 4 years tanker xp, hazmat and a TWIC card.
I'm sick of low paying jobs and looking to relocate.
I saw a job ad for Key Energy with paid relocation ???

House sales are available though not that many to choose from, if you can get a mortgage ? Try Power Fuels in Watford City they offer housing to employees.

What is the housing like that Power Fuels offers employees?
    Trailer, apartment, house ???
Is this paid housing or will they deduct rent from my paycheck?
    Thanks

My husband (OTR for 8 years) was hired as a driver in Watford City last month and REALLY enjoys it. Housing is tight and he is currently staying in our camper. Watford City has a facebook page with pics of Power Fuel housing. The Watford City Chamber of Commerce is also helpful for area information.

Thanks, saw the facebook page-I don't think that power fuels housing is going to do it with my wife and 2 large dogs.:biggrin_25513:
If I could find a house to rent or buy I would consider it.
