if the black top is clear we're not suposed to wear them but I've had to keep them on if it is a short distance to the next lease road I need to go on and sometimes its more dangerouse to stop to take them off then it is to take a chance and run with them on..once winter is here (all roads ice & snow) then the chains usually stay on

 

it is sunny and 9 dgrs in watford city right now..I will try and get some numbers of places for RV parking in my area posted on here..hope it will help..but it is usually the ones who are here who can get a jump on the spots when they come available..if you go on Craigslist there is a guy who built some kind of structure where he can put peoples RV's inside and I think it's like 135.00 a week

gdyupgal, were you able to bring your dog over? And if you have him how are you and him handling the long days? I think the biggest thing i am worried about is my dog. She's like my kid and for as long as i have been driving she has been with me.

 

Are there any O/O's out there running 6x6 military rigs, like retired M818's? Seems like they'd be in their environment taking a back road pounding and harsh weather.

I would like to pitch in and offer some really good advice. You can sit here on the computer and send emails, make phone calls and you are not going to get a lot accomplished.

If you want to work in ND you need to go there. I went not knowing a soul just an intention to find a job. I arrived in Dickinson on Columbus Day at 9pm in my motorhome I texted my wife a photo from the passenger seat of a water truck at 10 am. I rode that day and the next day with a particular company checking it out and then went to Watford City for an afternoon looking and then to Williston where I found a driving job. I came back home and was back for a 30 day hitch within a week.

The jobs are plentiful if you are there and on the ground. They are few and far between sitting behind your keyboard. My company is looking for additional drivers as are many many many I know.

Take control and get there and you fill find someone who will give you a shot.
