Would $9395.00 be an outrageous price for a 22 week driving school? The school is NETTS, located in N. Andover, MA. I think that price is way out of line comparatively but would like other's opinions.:biggrin_25521:

Thank you for your comment, my thinking is as yours although I don't know the reputation of the school so you gave me another piece of valuable info.

From what I hear the school options are limited up there. Id check to make sure you can get a job up there before you pay for school

I'm not worried about the job at this time. I will be relocating to DE or OH once I make the commitment to drive for a living. You're right there aren't any other schools here near NH.

    Posted in your other threads....
there are 2 schools up in ME that do NH testing...
check them out...I did, was in the same situation.
I picked ProDrive..small school...much cheaper, small classes..not facy, got a good job. A second more commercial school is about 1 miles up the rad from them...but pro drive was more hands on, personal, mom-pop type of place...got the job done for me.
    Good luck!:yes2557:

PS for ANYBODY considering spending $10,000 for a CDL....
You will likely only make $25-30K your first year..so paying about 1/3 what you may make your first year driving IF you stick with it is kinda crazy IMO!!
Sure you might learn lots of stuff...but tons of stuff can be self taught...read a book, read a forum, chat with an old pro....so many folks find trucking is "not for them" spending more than needed when already unemployed is kinda crazy IMO.
Some Collages do 22 weeks programs for a few thousand.....look a community collages if yo want a weekend class.

Zippy, thanks for the info, I will check them out. Yea paying over 9 grand is crazy alright, that's why I was checking around. I know some things are not really cheap but Netts is way out of the ballpark.

Wierd, all the community college here in Missouri cost around 3200 to 4000 for CDL training. But then again its not 22 weeks either. its 3 to 4 weeks.
