    OK I have read all the POST on here and I know that some are just whinning about how crappy this and that is. Before I ask any questions let me tell you about me. I have drove for over 20 years and even owned my owns trucks at one time. I had two parking lots and made a decent living till a driver stole a car off my truck and stripped my truck and left it in Orange Texas crippling me in that business and forcing me to sell my trucks and for me to come off the road..... I have not been on the road in 7 years and let my CDL's go during that time. 2 divorces later I am remarried and my wife and I are teaming up together to run for PAM....she has never drove a truck!:biggrin_25523: So we are starting fresh... While I understand every company has its quirks it dont take me long to figure out the system with the company I work for.

    My questions are:::::

    1) Does teams get the miles????? And how much! (Keeping in mind I am somebody that knows how to run a truck)

    2) Do they make you take time at home????? Because I DONT want to go home!

    3) How much money does a good team make in a year with PAM????

    I looked at alot of post in this forum where everybody has alot of negative remarks about this company and I read in between lines..... and I also know this company just didnt start yesterday either.... the brand new drivers with no training ever on the road wants the top dollar the moment they walk thru the door which blows my mind!!!! I know you got to earn your wings before you can fly!!!! Maybe the reason why you are not making money is because you are to busy bashing the company and not making the miles... or your trashing around and not getting the job done.... or something.... trucking is a HUSTLE!!!! I can assure you if you HUSTLE you will make good money!

    Good Luck and enjoy. Yes what maybe bad for one may not be for another. Companies are not perfect it what you make of it.

    A) Avg is 4000 with the information I have gathered

    A) No. They will never stress that you need to go home

    A) I believe that if you are very agressive with dispatch (and I mean agressive more than we were, like- almost to the point of harrassing them) you can probably get 5 to 6k a week, but don't take my word for it. First you'll have to prove yourself, you know that might be hard since your wife has no experience so it wouldn't be wise cracking the whip on someone you love who's just learning the industry (but that's just my humble opinion) I say probably get to there because if you never want to be home you can probably get something dedicated. This is the only way I see 5 or 6k for a team happening. Something steady like Laredo to Detroit and back. So first step; prove you can make your loads on time. This is important cause a lot of times in team runs you don't even get a chance to go pee. Step number two (ONLY TO BE FOLLOWED IF STEP NUMBER ONE ACHIEVED) speak to John Tomoanda about getting something steady. He is the Expedited Fleet Manager. Real good guy but like I said don't go to him if you have some missed pickups and/or deliveries.

    Most importantly of all be safe!
