Pam was nice enough to help him get his cdl.

I'm not knocking Pam, there are 2 sides to every story

the dummy bobtailed to where he parks it & left it first week of Dec.
I told him to TAKE IT BACK & TURN THE KEYS IN. I think he still has the keys
I'm surprised they didn't turn off his fuel card, he lasted 7 months, says he is going to pay them the rest what he owes
he got tired of sitting in truck stops waiting for a load, I would be interested in hearing from one of the Pam DM's....
who knows, maybe he just wasn't cut out for OTR. HE SAID, he was making about 100 bucks a week when he started
to solo, (when he got his own company truck). he is not bad mouthing Pam, they trained him in ark. now he is back in
Fl. It took him 2 weeks to find a new job. he makes $17.00 a hour, he works mostly 6 days a week, dropping & hooking,
    12 hour shifts, 5 to 5.

my question is how long is this going to stay on his DAC? he is happy now, they were nice enough to get him his cdl.
he was so broke, he signed up for a driving school in JAX. he is more pissed @ them. the school in jax recruiter promised him that if he sent the $1,500.00 down payment, the school would finance the rest. he took out a title loan
on his pickup. the school later told my friend that his credit was too bad & he had to come up with the money on his own.truck got repo' ed. that's why he went to pam.
I was just wondering how long it will stay on his DAC? and no, the driving school would not give him his 1,500 back.

What do you mean he left the trk where he parks? He didn't take it to the terminal? If so Pam will put abandonment on his dac.The company hes employed at now hasn't seen what Pam put down as of yet.Remarks on DAC will stay on there as long as he drives trk.I got my dac and it starts back in 2002 when I first started this carreer.

DAC is not temporary, once it's there it doesn't ever go away.

He drop & hooks springwater now, he does not leave the property, the requirement of the job is too have a valid cdl. A. I don't think that company knows what a dac is. my mistake, he did this first week of nov,
I guess he better not lose his job.

Well your friend will never find a driving job for anybody that uses dac.You look at the requirements, many companies will say no abandonment ever and cant say that I blame them. Its costly to go retrieve equipment.Futures employers can't risk having that driver abandone their equipment.

I hate sayimg this but your friend is an idiot. He has shown bad judgment from the start. The repo and the bad mark on his dac is all his doing. He is way to impulsive and it is biting him in the butt. I hope he does not quit or get fired.

Dac is supposed to fall under the fair credit act. The abandonment should fall off after 7-10 years depending on how that's looked at in the laws. Bad credit card write offs fall of credit report 7 yrs after last activity. Bankruptcy 10 years after it is discharged. So an abandonment is probably 10years. I haven't looked it up to be sure

It might nor even show on DAC. Very small % actually use DAC to report or receive information as it cost companies $$ . Besides anything over 7 years old will NOT be reported to a company purchasing your report. It will show on your copies you can request for free once a year tho. But nothing over 7 will be shown good or bad. But as I said this MANY times on similar threads I recommend ALL to ask for their FREE DAC Report. As I found several 100% LIES on it but they were over 8 years old so I didn't have need to pursue anything. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!! Special safe and Happy Christmas to those that didn't make it home or has no place to call home and is on the road as we chat.

Trust me, Pam uses DAC. They will lie on it too. I got all the negative Pam put on my DAC removed. Your friend however gave them plenty to write without lying.
Funny side story. When I went to an interview with a safety director for another company I took my DAC and my dispute with me. When I started to explain the Pam DAC postings, he said "I don't care what Pam put on a DAC, as long as there is nothing bad from a reputable company"!
