If you go to school locally, they just might find something to accommodate you.

I don't know him. There are only two guys I know who are still with PAM and training. One guy is Perry and the other is Scott. Perry is with PAM Transport and Scott is with AFS. Scott is on vacation right now and will be until the last week of the month.

ChipW, I noticed that you posted earlier you are out of the Willard, OH Terminal, still running out of there? I am looking to start C1 in Ft Wayne in mid april and going with PAM/Decker. Would love to pick your brain about the company locally. Also would they mind if I showed up to terminal to check things out and ask questions? Look forward to hearing from you.

Does PAM do direct deposit or do they have to put your pay on the Comcard or whatever it is called? Will I have the option for direct deposit? Thanks

Dave

When I worked there three years ago, pay went on your ComData card. You could do direct deposit off of your card, but it would cost you money to do so. Of course, it costs a dollar every time you do a transaction on ComData anyway. Kind of a bad deal, but I dealt with it for two years.

I live in NH Near Manchester

I was looking into PAM or Swift any suggestions or info for me. What the major differences are between the 2 Co's. It seems as if Swift pays better. I have read some of the Swift posts and haven't hears anything not espected with other Co's and they also pay for training. and pay a salary while training. Any info would help.

Thanks Jason

Swift does pay better and will most likely get you more miles. PAM will pay for your school though if you sign a 1 year contract.

Swift is also a much bigger company than PAM, and has more opportunities do move into different divisions.

If you do go with PAM, try to work for Decker, which has a lot more East coast freight than PAM. PAM owns Decker by the way.

I was looking at Swift today on all the message boards for more info on them. Wow It sounds like Swift has more issues tham Pam. Is decker close to NH or MAss? I caled Pam today got a voicemail and no return call is this normal. As a matter of fact I called swift today to 2nd day in a row and din't get a return call. I think PAM even with the lower pay per mile is still probably the best bet. Any other info about the northeast would be helpfull. Thanks IUfanforever for the info

Jay
