Team Driver, Straight Truck

My husband was driving a straight truck with my son-in-law in the fall and has his CDL class B. My son-in-law wanted to quit trucking since my daughter is having a baby, and my husband went to work selling. But we would like to get into trucking together as a team driving straight trucks. I a studing to get my class B. Does anyone know of a good company that has company trucks for someone like us. My husband has 6 months of experience, and I have none.

Thanks, any info would be appreciated. Right now we are looking at a few we found on line, but not sure who is good and who is bad.

A company called EPES Express out of Greensboro, NC had company owned straight trucks and ran expedited freight. I don't know if they're still around....You could run for Panther (as the wife and I did) and run under an owner. Check around; some fleet owners will have you as an actual employee but beware of the "You get 60% and pay fuel" crowd. Also, the 1099 have to be kept up on, if you go on as a contractor under the fleet owner....Oh, and AVOID All-State Express!!!!!!
