    7.5 mpg

    I drive about 62 mph
Always shift up @ 1,500 rpm and down @ 900

Seems like I use more fuel at idle than I do when driving :D

Just had the motor rebuilt last month. 30 day average is up to 6.89 and have had a few tanks over 7. It has been hot in Texas so Idealing every night also. I thought it would drop for the first few thousand miles until it was broken in but it has been up from the first fill up. I was loosing a lot of compression and had so much blow by that if you saw it at night under lights you would think it was on fire

    Offender and paul_4lp Thank this.

Fuzzy I'm not sure what this is in reference to, but if it is what I think It is...

When I first got my truck with a cat motor I idled it like I did my Detroit 60 motor. Even tho my pals warned me not to. Big mistake. I would idle at around 600rpm and use tooons of fuel to idle. I now idle at 850-900 rpm and barely use any fuel. The logic makes no sense to me but I'm not a rocket surgeon so I just let it go.

If this has nothing to do with your comment, please ignore lol

    pulls dropdeck trailer.

It's consistently between 6.5 and 7.2 depending what is on the trailer

I rarely idle it and never go above 60 mph unless coasting on downhill.

My 2016 with isx 500/1850 and reefer and usually 75-80k at 62-65 max gets about 5.5 out west and in the 6 neighborhood for midwest/east
    Edit to add
If weight is lighter those numbers easily climb .5 to 1.0 mpg
