Help 379 wont start no eletric at the key

    HELP 99 379 turn key and nothing happens no electric ,,no low air buzzer,,, all lights work but no key,,,wont start

    Check the ground to the starter.

    looks like the ground might be ok,,,but when i turn the key on nothing goes on that that should ,,,radio,,, low air buzzer ect,,,but all lights work ,,,,is their a relay or fuse for thr key

    have you checked the water level in the batteries if they have the removable caps? check all the connectors, clean with warm water and baking soda then rinse with water. remember to use distilled water if you have to add any to the batteries.

    it sounds like you might have one or two batteries that may have died. how old are they?

    the only way i can think that the starter or a fused link could be bad is if you jumped the truck off recently or had been doing any electrical work and could have arched something.

    also, get a volt meter and attach it to the batteries. turn the headlights on bright. an average battery will have about 12.6 volts when sitting and properly charged. you should be able to have full headlights, and the voltage hold steady around 12 volts for several minutes, then it would start to drop slowly. i bet this is a battery issue.

    batt are good ,,does anybody have a fuse box diagram,,one stop light button is poped out and wont go back in ,,but i dont think it my problem,,

    Thanks to you guys ,,,,,,,,,,i love this site,,,,it was a lose fuse fuse was not blown i just moved the fuse and the inj..came on
