My son's '06 came in at $96,000... but he went overboard and bought a 'demo' C-15 600, a new 2050 torque 18 speed ($15K!) and had the mother of all drivelines built for around $5K... He bought the truck, un-built, from a guy who got in over his head and realized he didn't have the skill or equipment to finish the truck.

Here's the truck... it's for sale BTW

Sorry for the delayed response. Our dealership in Ringgold, GA was impacted by the tornado last week and we there helping clean up the community.

It seems most of the questions were answered but as far as the glider kits go it will run about $60,000 (FET Excluded) for a 389 w/ 70" sleeper, Prestige interior, steer axle only, no drive axles or suspension.

Because the build schedule is so full at Peterbilt, they are currently scheduling gliders all the way out to February of 2012.

Good on you folks for helping when others are in grave need!

    Here's my question...

Does Peterbilt make ECE/E-Code/European Spec headlamps for the 386 and 387 models, for those countries where they are Road Legal... such as most of the rest of the world, including Canada?

The E-Codes provide a MUCH more useful and safer light pattern than our own DOT crap spec., and I have friends in Canada and Europe who currently drive conventional tractors with E-Codes who are considering the purchase of 386's and 387's, but only if they can are fitted with true E-Code pattern lights.

    Thanks!

Strider, I'll be honest and say that I have no clue regarding the availability of these headlamps but I could look into it if you'd like.

    TPS,

That would be appreciated by many here at TTR. If Pete makes "for export to Europe" 386's and 387's, they'd perhaps have hired Hella or some other expert lighting company to design the E-Code headlamp versions. Should we be so fortunate, headlamp model numbers would be helpful, and your information would ultimately prevent many unnecessary nighttime accidents, and perhaps even save lives...

    Thanks much!

The base warranty on the Cummins ISX15 at 550 hp is 2 years or 250,000 miles, whichever comes first. Extended warranties are available up to 5 years or 500,000 miles.

The base warranty on the Fuller RTLO18918B, 18-speed transmission is 3 years or 300,000 miles, whichever comes first. Extended warranties are available up to 5 years or 500,000 miles.
