3406E 2WS to 5EK ECM Adapter Harness

    I have a 99 379 with a 3406E in it that I want to do an engine swap on. The current 2WS engine has a 70 pin ECM. I have a good 5EK engine with the older 40 pin ECM and am trying to find out if there are any issues with this swap. I found an adapter harness from Mawk Industries but hate to put out the cash for it if there will be any other issues rearing their ugly heads. Anyone know?

    You'll have no issues. The hardest part will be to have someone setup your parameters in the adem II that will match and work the same way the adem III was setup. And add a relay in between the ecm and the fan solenoid if you don't have one already. Hope this helps.

    So what exactly is the adem? Im assuming its some software that interfaces with a computer in the truck.?
