Sounds like the right side hi-beam has a short to ground on the positive side. Just have to follow the wires and check for damage.

That headlight harness is 19 yrs old, all the above are good repairs, but temperary. New harnesses are very expensive, but concidering the first one went almost 20 years, I think its worth every penny. just my $0.02.

You'll have to use your judgment on whether to repair or replace your wiring, minor damage can be repaired, a bunch of damaged areas will make replacement more attractive. Probably a good idea to find the fault before spending money, in case the problem is somewhere else.

Drove a 93(still own it) same problem. And I did the old bang the top of the light trick for the scale master in Missouri. Mine was a bad plug. New plug and she worked fine

I have a 2003 Pete headlight turn on and work then will just cut out and only have daytime running. Sometimes it will come back on sometimes not . Would that be a circut breaker ?

I had the exact same problem for years on my 97, I changed the Marker light relay and the problem is gone. Still trying to figure out why.

I had a 99 ihc 9300 with the quad sealed and had the exact same problem. I checked all the wiring over and over and over and eventually decided to spend 700 on a new light harness as it had been repaired about a dozen times that I could see....... problem solved instantly.
