flywheel cracked?

    anyone ever hear of a c-12 cat flywheel cracking?

    Yes usually caused by being put on wrong and smashing the timing pin in crank

    there isnt a dowel/timing pin on the back of the crankshaft in a c-12 there is only one in the front behind the gear the flywheel only goes on one way correctly we just dont know if someone before us tried to install it wrong

    How can it be installed wrong if it can only go on one way? That is crazy!

    meaning that they just put it on started a bolt or two tightened them before they realized that the bolt pattern wouldn't match up

    i can see damaged threads in the crank where them bolts go. if that were the case.
