I have an issue with the digital cluster of my 2009 386 Peterbilt c13. When I turn the key in the on position the digital cluster is working, but as soon as I crack the engine the digital cluster screen, speedometer, rpm and all warning lighting turns off. If anyone has had any similar experiences could you please let me know.

    Thanks in advance
    Roland

What about gauges like boost, oil temp, amps, and water temp? Mine did that driving down the road at times. But the warning lights would still work just not the gauges. There's a green wire runs from front to back on these trucks. Check down by the motor mounts. That's where mine was rubbing.

There is a possibility that the J1939 communication wires from the engine ECM have rubbed thru, yellow and green twisted wires, usually about 10inches from engine ECM plug.
