Are you referring to an aftermarket third party warranty, or a Cummins / Paccar extended warranty?
-
The after market warranty. Ive done some research and for NTP and Premium 2000 all ive really seen is negative. Im just wondering if I should save my money and just pay for repairs out of pocket... its a old US Express automatic. Great condition low 400s on the miles.
-
How much is Premium 2000 going to charge you?
-
2200 for 100k miles, cover engine and trans. I could get the engine, rear, tranny, turbo and injectors for roughly 4,300.
-
I personally think that's expensive. We sell Premium 2000 if people ask for it, but I've only heard negative things. I guess it depends on how fast you're going to burn through 100K. If you're over the road, that $2,200 isn't going to go very far.

I have a team that will drive it, out for about 3.5 weeks monthly estimated at 5k miles weekly. Thats what I was thinking too. From all the ripoff reports and stuff like that that ive read it sounds like its a toss up. I just dont want to drop the cash if they will argue out of all the fixes with me then end up paying for the repair to get the truck back up in a timely manner.

Also im not really interested in the cheapest shop working on my truck, must sounds like more trouble.

I know for a fact the majority of those trucks were lease op trucks. If you got the truck number, you can call USX and see if they have maintenance records.
