I have a 2012 peterbilt 384 that was wrecked. I purchased it this way. The batteries were removed in the yard it was in. I put new batteries in it two days ago. All the lights work on the dash, everything cycles like it should, but the engine won't crank over. Wondering if there is any safety switches like on a car after it is in an accident. Another thought was some kind of circuit breaker. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance Ps
it has the mx13 in it. Also, had a Qualcomm in it. Perhaps an anti theft situation?

Just by the key. Haven't really dug into it much yet. I've been busy shipping bees to California, and now there's a foot of snow and really low temps outside. Need front axle parts so I can get it in my shop

baha Thanks this.

Does the new truck have clutch pedal or auto? your starter has a over heat protection switch in ft. of starter with two wires pluged into starter, you can ck. for power with key in start position then cross them an see if see turns over?
Oldironfan Thanks this. -
I'd guess the clutch has a switch. Turn the key on and short the starter to see if it'll start.

Thanks guys. I'll let you guys know if any of that works

So I moved the truck inside out of this single digit weather. Gonna let it thaw out and try testing power at the starter. Diagnostic codes on the dash include an open circuit on the fuel level indicator maybe?
