I have a 2001 Pete 378. I am getting a stray current into my right signal circuit when either the headlights or the markers are turned on. Trailer is disconnected. I have disconnected the tail lights and front markers/signal fixtures to eliminate something there. I have also disconnected the turn signal switch. When I switch the markers or the headlights on the right turn signal located on the dash illuminates but does not flash. When the headlights or markers are off the turn signals will flash but will not flash when the markers or headlights are on.
Any ideas?

Bad ground.. check your tail light wiring

Check your ground for the markers, sounds like current is runnin straight through the markers rather than grounding.

When I use my right turn signal, my trailer brakes lock up
Mr.X Thanks this. -
Have tried this, turn off all the lights and put the 4 way flash on and check all lamps that should be flashing. If one isn't working then the lamp may be bad ???
