So I just got my brand new custom ordered.....POS. lol. I have a few questions (ok more like concerns) with the truck. Hopefully I can get some answers here.

First, the truck seems to throw out random fault codes. The other day it threw out a code, called Peterbilt they said the code
was a faulty DEF filter, but that the problem should eventually correct itself, if not bring it in. The thing had 8,000 miles on it at that point. Hmm ok. Well it did eventually correct itself, however today, it threw out 2 new codes. One was 3556 and the other 190. I was told the 190 is an "engine overspeed" fault, problem was, we were sitting in a parking lot when that fault came up. I'm also being told the 3556 is a "doser code" I have no clue what a "doser code" is and couldn't get anyone to explain to me what it is.

Is there a way to reset these codes without having to stop to take it into Peterbilt just to have them reset it?

Secondly, the digital dash screen has an option called "camera" does this truck already wired to have cameras installed. If so, where do I get them? I would love to have cameras I can watch around the truck. I clicked on it and I only get a blank screen.

Is there anyway to turn off the feature that blanks out certain things (like being able to add Bluetooth) while going down the road. Getting very irritating if the phone decided to disconnect itself from the radio, We have to stop and set the brakes before I'm able to pair it again. Extremely annoying. And before anyone jumps on board and starts screaming I shouldn't be doing it while driving anyways, I don't. I have a student that is driving when I'm attempting to do this.

I have the 2014 paccar 500. There's no way to get around deleting codes unless you buy the paccar tool and then you'll get your warranty void.
the smartnav must have a fix, I've been looking for it, they do it for audis and Mercedes cars.
the cameras that you can add are universal, however it won't record, just stream live feed.

Doser is basically a nozzle. I'm guessing here a DEF nozzle (there's only one)
let me know how you like that paccar and what mpgs you're getting, also if you get a fix before I do please post it. Btw I got a 579 good luck

You have to buy the camera's and the camera harness to enable this feature. I bought the harness for our Kenworth T680 with NavPlus, I don't have the cameras yet but I plan on installing them one day. As far as enabling the safety lock outs...I doubt that will ever come from Paccar...they're the ones who put them there. Usually those mods come from end users with the skill set to make changes in the radio firmware. I've seen it done on GM, Mopar, and BMW radios, I don't think there is enough interest/demand for someone to modify the navplus yet...
