I am working on an 08 388, which has no reverse lights. It has no power to the switch on the trans, and I cannot find where that power is supposed to come from. I put a meter on every fuse in the panel, found the keyless entry and cigar fuses blown, but nothing else. Replaced both those and no change.
Can anyone give me the fuse location?

believe it or not many OEM's use the air dryer heater circuit to share power with the reverse light circuit.check for power at that plug.good luck.
dustinbrock and 4x4_Welder Thank this. -
Or you could got to the link to schematics at the top of this forum and figure out which circuit the switch is on.

I also do not have power there, nor do I see a fuse labeled for that. Where does it get it's power from?

if you have a power probe, give the wire 12v+ at the plug.if not get a fused jumper wire.this may help you trace it down.check for missing fuse.drivers like to borrow "non essential"fuses when they blow the cig.lighter fuse by plugging in too many things.good luck.

Just so future generations of Peterbilt cursing wrench benders know, the back up lights fall into the category of spare accessory.
