I have one tire that's cupped a little they were saying maybe that's it , I told them no way. It didn't come here this way. But I'll look at the shaft and I'll check back in.

Have you checked the ride height on the air ride? If it is too low or too high it will cause noise and vibration in the driveline. If the driveline is set at the incorrect height it alters the geometry of the driveline causing noise and vibrations.

Well supposedly the axle and gear place said the ride height was off and set it factory specs but I didn't have a problem before all this started. I guess I should check it myself.

Not sure if they looked at the power divider or not.

Were shims possibly left out that could have been between the carrier brg and crossmember? No flat tires? No excessive play in rear driveline? Remove fill plugs from differentials and check for chunks of metal in bottem of banjo housings. Use a magnet. Check all torque arm-spring bushings and bolts. Experiment with different ride heights.

Well the drive shaft is in line. The only thing I noticed was were the the drive shaft goes in the first diff. It doesn't have side to side or up and down play but you can turn it quite a bit before it stops. Checked 3 other trucks so see if there was that much play and there wasnt. Now this first diff was rebuilt less then a year ago and the gear and axle place that rebuilt it says that it's normal but going by 3 other trucks it's not. Sounds to me there trying to get out of warranty work..?? How much should the drive shaft turn in a sitting position?

depends on how beat the power divider, diffs etc are....a little slop in three different componants equal quite a bit play in the shaft from the transmission......

No I verified my slop at the front diff with 3 different Petes around the same year and mine was way off compared to the other's. Just throwing a number out there but the other trucks moved like 6 inches mine moved a foot and half.
