Took the truck in to have the carrier bearing replaced because the cushion kept popping out. Get it back and it's grinding. Took it back right away , well the rear diff bearing were out so we replaced them and rebuilt the drive shaft , new yokes and u joints and replaced the leveler and adjusted ride height to factory specs. It still grinds..... any ideas?

Starts around 55 mph and some what clears up till 65, after that it doesn't seems as bad but I think it just gets faster. If that makes sense.

Please define grinding and bearings were out. Was it different from the first and second test drives? Replaced bearings in rear drive or front drive? Replaced the bearing by the yoke or pulled the unit out? Incorrect driveline phase or timing is a common cause of vibration and sometimes noise. If every shaft were out of the truck and all joints removed the holes for u-joints should align from end to end on each individual shaft. If a slip yoke is pulled off and reinstalled 1/4 turn off it is easily overlooked when assembled in the truck. A binding slip yoke can also cause some of these type problems. Jack rears up and idle in gear, iook for something bent.

I st drive very bad grinding issue at the same speeds listed above. 2 nd drive just not as bad. Bearing replaced by the yoke on the rear housing. The drive shaft was pulled and rebuilt from transmission to the rear diff. They said the yokes had play in them so they rebuilt everything and Re balanced etc. Now we had shop do the labor and a gear and axle shop did the drive shaft rebuilding. We even took the truck to the gear and axle shop that did the drive shaft with no luck. Seems to get a little worse when we put a trailer on it to. When we took the truck to the shop for the carrier bearing it had a slight vibration from the failed carrier.

If I look at the drive shaft from front to back what marks etc should I look for to make sure it's aligned right?

That is the reason to look at it on an individual shaft basis. As an assembly from end to end it can look fine. Look at one shaft that is welded together at both ends. The shafts that have a slip yoke (free to move back and forth) and the one with a bolt on yoke for the carrier brg must line up the same way. End to end on each individual shaft must be the same. Then look for something bent, dents in the tube, or where welded balance weights have been knocked off tube. When something is worse after repairs than before it is usually related to the work done.
