    Dear Forum

    Hope you're all well.

Here i'm asking for your help to resolve this strange problem. My truck is a Pet 320 from 2007.

So here it goes....I bought a new eaton clutch model 208925-82, eaton clutch brake, a new fuller bearing cap and a new clutch release yoke. I followed the eaton clutch installation instructions and with the 0.5" gap from bearing to clutch brake it's impossible to brake the transmission ( the bearing never touches the clutch brake disc). My flywheel is in a very good condition with no signs of wear.

The only way (with the 0.5" manual eaton gap) to make the bearing touch the brake disc is removing the clutch cable and using a iron bar to push the transmission cable support....i measured with a ruler and the original cable (that works perfectly) only makes 2" and i need 2.5" to touch the brake disk.

Do you have any kind of idea of what could it be?

p.s -Sorry for my non technical English.

Thank you for your attention and help

    Best regards from Panama

    Xpander.

If you search this sight under clutch adjustment, problems, etc, you can probably find most questions in this area answered. Worn clutch shafts and bushings can cause those type problems as can a misadjusted pedal back stop on some models. The clutch cable could be stretching and losing travel. Occasionally a trucks linkage seems to have incorrect linkage geometry, (not Pet's) and require some variance. Gap at brake 7/16 and freeplay 1-1/4 inch or something like that. Is it missing an upper or lower return spring, have other worn linkage? Good Luck.

    Dear BoxCarkidd

Thank you so much for all your advices...the thing is that i tryed everything...lower and upper clutch pedal ...pedal stop adjustment......

Everything is new except the input shaft and the flywheel...and the cable....tomorrow i will try with another cable because i think that you are right with the stretching...the cable has the same age that the car...8 years.

Best regards from Panama and thank u again
