Hello every one, Im new in the truck business, I own a 07 Peterbilt COE 220 Box Truck, the truck came with tire size 285/70R19.5, but in the door it says I can use 11R22.5, so I bought six rims and tires size 11R22.5, the rear tires fitted ok, but not the front ones, they are too big for the front, my question is can I have this truck running with 4 11R22.5 tires on the back and 2 285/70/R19.5 on the front ? Is it safe and legal? I know the front tires are going to turn more per mile than the rear ones... Thank you very much for your help and happy Sunday....

Why didn't they fit on the front? They should have bolted right on.

The tire barely fits when the wheel is straight but if I turn it it will hit the fender, I tried to make it fit but I would not fit. I'm driving the truck with 19.5s on front and 22.5s in the back, is this safe and legal? Thank you....

You may have to adj. the headlights and reset the speedo to read the rite MPH

Not sure where you are, but, here in British Columbia it is very common to run 24.5's on the rear and 22.5's on the front, especially in dump trucks. Safety won't be an issue unless you forget to re-torque the wheel nuts after the change over.

I'm in Houston Texas, thank you for your answers

The 220 COE truck tire sizes depend on the frame and suspension selected when ordering the truck. It sounds like yours has the lower suspension which would be correct for 19.5 wheels.
If you want to run 22.5's I would suggest going low pro tires and doing a 255/70/22.5

We frequently are asked the same question about Isuzu NPR tires. The problem some trucks have is the turning radius clearance for the larger tires. Many have worked fine and the drivers have stated they have a better ride.
