Took my playtoy with a 3406b for a ride today. The new gauge always bounced alittle @ 40#. Today was going crazy between10-50. Was waiting for the needle too fly off. Does it need to be bled or something. Thought I'd ask before calling Autometer. Thanks

It needs a damper on the gauge, you can make one with a needle valve put in line between the isolator and gauge.

Change the fuel filter and see what happens. Is it spoiling up normally?

Its a mechanical gauge. Truck runs fine. The needle bounces so fast its a blurr.

I ran a 7fb 350 and now a 4ck 460 and changing filters seemed to help. I run high efficent filters and they seem to restrict fuel flow after 1200 to 1300 gallons. It caused fluctuations in fuel pressure and tubo boost.

Only around 300 gals. run threw Cat filter. Was ok when left home . Needle turned into blurr after 40 mi. Gauge is newer than filter.

Take the hose off the back of the gauge and put a pipe cleaner in the hose, worked for me.
