I have a 1998 pete 379. I noticed the other day that I need cab mount bushings.....these are the bushings at the cab mounts basically located under the firewall underneath the cab.

Can anyone tell me about what parts cost to replace with poly and how labor intensive this job is?

Thanks guys and gals for all your help.

    This board is awesome.

    Thanks,
    Toby

This is just an opinion, but I would stay with the original rubber mounts for both the cab and the engine. The poly is too hard and allows more vibration to be transmitted into the cab.

Make sure it's not all corroded up under the mounts. The mounts are not too expensive, I forget exactly how much. I did a 2001 not too long ago and ended up welding in new aluminum, once I got the old ones off, the new ones would almost completely fit through the holes.

It's not too bad of a job, getting the old bolts out can be tough sometimes, but it's just a bolt. Do 1 side at a time and you'll need to jack the cab up to get the old ones out and new ones in.

    tmslogistics Thanks this.
