Because my nephew is 18.

The "reason" centers of his brain have not fully formed. He has no life experience. He is innocent. When the recruiter said "you'll probably be

"We honor his bravery!" will exclaim KD5 and firstcav. "He is a hero for defending this nation!"

BS. You're cowards, and you get your manliness from sending kids to fight your battles, to sacrifice their lives, so you can cheer before your televisions. Both of you are 38; you could have joined. Why didn't you? "Well, that might have led to death, or injury!," your reasoned minds told you.

But my nephew, he didn't see that. He believed your BS.

There are no Republicans.

The word is

REPUKE.

Hey mr dumbocrat................ I wish I would have signed up after 9/11. I didn't because I had a business to run. And now after 4+ years of driving a truck I'm bad out of shape.

I still regret not signing up.

Obviously you had a pre-conceived notion of the republican party. Maybe if Clinton was not worrying about heads bobbing in his lap, he would have killed bin laden when he could have. #### He droped bomps in kosovo why not on OBL???

There is nothing standing between you and Iraq that a month of basic training wouldn't cure, except that you would prefer to stay here comfortable and cozy while other men fight your battles.

I'm gonna say the same thing you say that those other two said, and I DID serve my country. I was discharged after 1 year because of an injury. I didn't see any action, but a month after my separation my unit was deployed to Somalia. I'm a conservative, and would go over there right now if I was eligible. My best friend from high school is about to be deployed again to the mid east, this time to Afghanistan and he's a conservative. Don't you dare sit behind that computer screen and mock anyone regardless of their political points of view for standing up and saying, "I'll go! I'll fight for you, America!" It's because of brave men and women, no matter how old they are, that you have the right to say garbage like this. And of course, don't forget that your nephew VOLUNTEERED to join.

If it was up to you and all your liberal commie buddies we'd be speaking German right now. What have you done for your country besides bash it?

Or did you just have "other priorities," like Dick Cheney?

I applaud your friend for putting his *** on the line for his beliefs.

If 1/4 of these loud-mouthed cons would do the same Bush would have the army of his dreams.

But they will not, because they are COWARDS.

You're really not even worth my time, but I will humor you.

My injury was a class III separation of the AC joint on my right shoulder after I slipped while on manuveurs in a MLRS and fell 12 feet. At that time, your hero Bill Clinton had just cut the military budget to shreds, so rather than pay me for 6 months while I recovered, the Army medically discharged me. No surgery, no physical therapy, just a DD214 Medical and a measly $75/month disability check.

I see you still didn't answer my question. What have you done for this country besides run your mouth and put it down? You dare call others cowards when you yourself used the excuse, "Oh, I don't trust the administration." Which means you probably also thought "They're not doing what I think they should, so therefore I'm just gonna sit here where it's safe and talk bad of others who don't believe the same way I do." Next time you call someone a coward you better be looking in a mirror.

To tell ya the truth trickortruck your nephew is going to go wherever they wanna send him because he VOLUNTEERED and signed the papers! He is now a member of the United States military, just like MY SON, nobody made him do it...I guess those who have served before him like MY HUSBAND, MY FATHER and MY GRANDFATHER, MY 2 UNCLES who where both seriously wounded in vietnam and MY HUSBANDS FATHER have made sure he had the CHOICE.

My son is going to Korea in January, do I like it nope, am I PROUD yeppers you bet!!! I might and I did say might understand your FIRST post in this thread if he had been drafted but he wasnt.

To attack other members of this forum as you did in your first post is uncalled for (and you know it will NOT be put up with) everyone makes their own choices....we are still FREE to do that much at least for the moment.
