Just saw a report on a body armour called Dragon Skin.

Private tests show that Dragon Skin is much more effective in stopping bullets than the present vest, the Interceptor. In fact, the man who designed Interceptor body armour says, if he were in Iraq, "I'd wear Dragon Skin."

But, like the very effective device recently developed to defend APC's against rocket propelled grenades, Dragon Skin has been rejected by the administration because it would cut into profits made by present defense contractors. And, of course these, Raythoen and DHB, are heavy Republican supporters.

Here is a firsthand report by a soldier in the field:

"A recent United States Marine Corps forensic study obtained by DefenseWatch slams the interceptor OTV body armor system, claiming "as many as 42% of the Marine casualties who died from isolated torso injuries could have been prevented with improved protection in the areas surrounding the plated areas of the vest. Nearly 23% might have benefited from protection along the mid-axillary line of the lateral chest. Another 15% died from impacts through the unprotected shoulder and upper arm," the report says.

I saw the same report, military testing showed dragon skin failed often. But, anything you can blame on republicans you will, so go ahead.

unless some one comes up with away to put the entire body from head to toe in a fully bullet proof sytsem that is light enough for a person to be able to walk around in and do his job like a explosives suit only les bulky they will find away to get to a soft spot. Believe it or not the bad guys do have some pretty darn good snipers and they will wait all day for that one chance to get an open shot at a soft spot of one person i have seen it happen more than once where a soldier rasies his arm a little to high and bang a round gets in. Or they take one in anothe soft spot the face or throat even with the throat latch on there is still a small opening and they will hit it if given enough time and oprotunity.

Reality does not matter to liberals in their push to hate all things Bush and to hate all things the military does and stands for.

Just who do you think make up our troops? I don't see very many Democrats nor their children joining the military. And over the 20 years I spent in the service, it's members voted overwhelmingly on the conservative side of things.

If you had said that the Democrats hate our troops, then I would have to agree with you to some extent.

It is a proven fact that there are more military vets in Dem party, than there are in Rep party. That statistic alone is enough to prove if Dems participate in our military or not.

But, I understand you guys, you have to follow the policies and talking points that your leaders feed you, no matter what.

Are you really expecting that Dems are going to be able to fix everything in a few months, come on now, you were screwing things up for almost 15 yrs now, it will take time to bring everything up to speed in this country. And let's not forget that it is not that big of majority either, Reps still can influence in how this govt works.

But, first things first, Dems have to prove and bring to light all the corruption that is part of Rep. administration, and all of the lies they fed us during the yrs they were in power.

But you keep telling yourself and to us too, how Dems are soft and antimilitary. If you repeat a lie to yourself enough number of times, you might actually start beleiving it's the truth, right!?

The body armour that I wore was not designed to stop bullets. It was designed for blast of frags from explosions.
