Politics Do Not Pass/Pass With Care. Today's truckers are far more educated and cognizant of the issues regarding politics due to the sharp increase in talk radio, and various trucking news media sources. Talk politics. Do truckers like politicians?

I don't much care for parties...but I have served in the PEACE CORPS and the VISTA program which is "Volunteers In Service To America".

If I had a chance, I would join both programs again! LOVED IT!

The priority ranking of 'my' values and decision making are as follows:

1st Am a Christian (based on scripture, particularly the words in RED!)

2nd Am an American (based on 'what's best for MY country')

3rd Am Conservative in views (
traditional with founding Father's values)

4th Am a Republican (but have some Libertarian leanings)

Hope that explains where I'm coming from. JAM

BTW, thx for your service, Gal!

Independant I guess. Never have gotten too involved in a political party, and never considered registering for one.

Did serve in the United States Marine Corps.

USA Many who dont like either 'main party' want alternatives!

This is Wikipedia's definition (partial) of Libertarians & Independents:

Libertarians

Libertarianism is a [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. maintaining that all persons are the absolute owners of their own lives, and should be free to do whatever they wish with their [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. or [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. , provided they allow others the same liberty and avoid abusing their liberty. Libertarians favor an ethic of self-responsibility and strongly oppose [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. and the [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. . Libertarianism is often viewed as a right-wing movement, especially by non-libertarians in the United States. Under the concept of fusionism, American libertarians tend to have more in common with traditional conservatives than American liberals, especially with regard to economic and gun control policies.

Independent Party

In politics, an independent is a politician who is not affiliated with any political party. In countries with a two-party system, independents may hold a centrist viewpoint between the two parties, or may feel that neither of the two parties adequately represents their viewpoint.

Poster's Comment: In recent history, Independents tend to attract more Democratic candidates. Presently the 'one' Independent swing vote in the Senate votes Democratic.

I would say this is pretty much how I feel about things.
