Politics Do Not Pass/Pass With Care. Today's truckers are far more educated and cognizant of the issues regarding politics due to the sharp increase in talk radio, and various trucking news media sources. Talk politics. Do truckers like politicians?

Scooters going to jail

Libby sentenced to 2 1/2 years in prison By MATT APUZZO and PETE YOST, Associated Press Writers

WASHINGTON - Vice President Dick Cheney's former chief of staff was sentenced to 2 1/2 years in prison Tuesday for lying and obstructing the CIA leak investigation — the probe that showed a White House obsessed with criticism of its decision to go to war.

I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, the highest-ranking White House official sentenced to prison since the Iran-Contra affair, asked for leniency, but a federal judge said he would not reward someone who hindered the investigation into the exposure of a CIA operative. The operative's husband had accused the administration of twisting intelligence to justify the Iraq war.

Hopefully the Judge won't allow him to bond out under appeal. If he does it could take up to a year. At that point he could possibly get pardoned by Bush on his way out the door. Therefore spending no real jail time.

No doubt. This judge is supposedly a pretty stricked enforcer of the law. Hopefully he won't let him stay out on bail. I have no doubt in my mind that he will be pardoned. It has probably already been set up. The good news is the idiot was convicted. Now if they can get the rest of the criminals life would be great.

Anyone else glad all the wasted money on endless hearings is finally down to a trickle now? We need a faster way of getting these things done.

I guess that would follow the theory of relativity; an object at rest remains at rest until acted upon by an unbalanced force..........
