Politics Do Not Pass/Pass With Care. Today's truckers are far more educated and cognizant of the issues regarding politics due to the sharp increase in talk radio, and various trucking news media sources. Talk politics. Do truckers like politicians?

USA THOUGHT 'Many" OF YOU MIGHT LIKE THIS COMEBACK.

> The man tells the truth
>
> Love This Comeback:
>
> One of my sons serves in the military. He is still stateside, here
in
> California. He called me yesterday to let me know how warm and
welcoming
> people were to him, and his troops, everywhere he goes, telling me
how
> people shake their hands, and thank them for being willing to
serve, and
> fight, for not only our own freedoms but so that others may have
them also.
>
> But he also told me about an incident in the grocery store he
stopped at
> yesterday, on his way home from the base. He said that ahead of
several
> people in front of him stood a woman dressed in a burkha.
>
> He said when she got to the cashier she loudly remarked about the
U.S.
> flag lapel pin the cashier wore on her smock. The cashier reached
up and touched the pin, and said proudly," Yes, I always wear it and
probably always will."
>
> The woman in the burkha then asked the cashier when she was going
to stop
bombing her countrymen, explaining that she was Iraqi. A gentleman
> standing behind my son stepped forward, putting his arm around my
son's
> shoulders, and nodding towards my son, said in a calm and gentle
voice to the Iraqi woman:
>
> "Lady, hundreds of thousands of men and women like this young man

>there today. But, hey, if you have now learned how to speak out so
loudly and
> clearly, I'll gladly buy you a ticket and pay your way back to Iraq
so you
> can straighten out the mess in YOUR country that you are obviously
here in MY country to avoid."
>
> Everyone within his hearing distance cheered!

this story sounds to scripted to be true. sorry..I'm not buying it. besides I thought the Iraqis all supported us....thats what the Repubs have claimed all along. We don't bomb Iraqis as the lady would have known..at least Repubs claim we don't. I picture a man dressed up as Uncle Sam and playing our Star Spangled Banner in the background making this story up. repubs use their false patriotism for stories like this. sorry try harder next time..

..try to chase this story back and come up with the soldier's Name, Rank & Serial Number...that's all he has to give to the 'enemy!'

Cool

It's a good story whether or not it's true. The point was well made.

IM not a dimocrat, and I don't believe it. I agree, it is too scripted. False patriotism is what got us in the mess we are in. you know, the "4 more year, 4 more years" crap. LOL< how long is this 4 years gonna take. seems it's been ten.

It's funny how the libs on here take such a defensive position about this story. It doesn't have to be true, but it does make a good point.

Good comeback, but not for real, for a b rated movie maybe. I too believe the whole thing was scripted, too much planning in the whole story, again, name rank and serial number, and maybe right hand on the bible. We aren't just bombing for the hell of it, over there or anywhere.
