Truckers' Trucking Forum/Message Board - The Premiere Truck Driver Forum

Politics Do Not Pass/Pass With Care. Today's truckers are far more educated and cognizant of the issues regarding politics due to the sharp increase in talk radio, and various trucking news media sources. Talk politics. Do truckers like politicians?

Cool What makes a Texan?!

I'll tell you as a 'transplanted Texan' what makes a Texan:
If being born in Texas makes one a Texan, then we have many illegals that could fit that bill!!

1) Been to the Alamo
2) Been to the Battleship Texas
3) Worked in the oilfields
4) Been to all the major cities in Texas, including San Angelo!
5) Been to border towns of Mattamores & Laredo (Del Rio & Juarez)
6) Been to Galveston, Corpus Christie and salt-water fished the Gulf
7) Caught Bass (small, large mouthed, stripped) and crappie (plus for a Garr!)
Driven 90% of the hwys in Texas
9) Been to Big Bend National Park
10) Been in a tornado

I've done all these things---how about pseudo-Texans, wannabbes?!!

Would be interesting to see how many of the 'so-called' Native Texans cud answer the above with 'Yes' ??? I live in 'far-West Texas' now (that's Arizona!) but still love the ppl in TX---well most of them (ahem!). Will make sure I take the Loop around Athens when I come out there in Aug...ha ha
