Truckers' Trucking Forum/Message Board - The Premiere Truck Driver Forum

Politics Do Not Pass/Pass With Care. Today's truckers are far more educated and cognizant of the issues regarding politics due to the sharp increase in talk radio, and various trucking news media sources. Talk politics. Do truckers like politicians?

'Deja Vue all over again'..Lincoln & Bush

During the middle of the Civil War, the concensus was for the Republican President:

"Lincoln's popularity was suffering, and he was being described as a boorish country bumpkin, a third-rate backwoods lawyer and as not knowing how to end the war."

..I just searched the topic cause I heard that Lincoln went thru the 'same period' as Bush----fact, at the beginning of the war, when Lincoln's supposed Generals went South, he thought that the South might win the war!!

And, Lincoln had to make "hard decisions during hard times!" and there are always many critics around...

Mickey Mouse and Goofy are REAL!! ha ha Heard that 'they' might reinstate Pluto as a planet again?! It's orbit may start lining up more with the rest of the planets---is it one of Jupiter's moons gone awry, or a planet not quite into the standard orbit of planets???

BTW, of course you know that we are ALL biased and believe what we want to believe!! LOL

..if Lincoln would have lost the Civil War he would have been remembered for being a 'bum!' If Bush turns the war into a victory, his epitaph will be as Lincoln's---it's all relative!!
