Politics Do Not Pass/Pass With Care. Today's truckers are far more educated and cognizant of the issues regarding politics due to the sharp increase in talk radio, and various trucking news media sources. Talk politics. Do truckers like politicians?

Up to 20million Illegals are in this country. There is no difference in them coming 100 per night, or 20 million at once. The fact is, they are here, they have invaded and are trying to take our jobs, our money, healthcare, food stamps. And Bush and Congress is doing nothing to stop it. The Repubs Cut N Run when they could have done something noble. The dems just don't care about the Americans. And Dubya, well........he's just a dumbazz who's looking out for his corp. good buddies.
All the while, every industry that gets invaded by illegals in this country. The value of their labor depletes. The social services in that area get drained, the schools get more crowded, jails get filled up, and the Americans get forced to either find another job(if ones available), or if they still have enough money, they get to uproot their intire lives, and move to a place that has not been invaded.

Thats funny, cause the same ppl we want to limit how many years they can be their are the same ones who would have to initiate and vote on said bill. Now who in their right mind is willing to just give up their job.

OK, then how do we get term limits if the congressmen/senators will not initiate a bill or amendment for limits.

You don't get term limits.. There is only one office that is term limited and that is the POTUS.

I do not see where that needs to be a constitutional issue. There are a lot of other laws and rules we live with that are not part of the constitution either.

It's a free speech issue. if some loonies want to keep people like Teddy Kennedy in office then it is their right, the term limits thing is designed to get rid of politicians in other areas that you cannot vote out. it's not that fair. We as Americans get to vote for our representatives in our communities and states. Just because there are other states that elect crackpots and criminals, that's for them to decide.

You really need to investigate news stories like these and not believe the partisan press that put it out.
It was NOT a welfare for illegals bill.
It was a continuation of a program that was passed by the REPUBLICAN CONGRESS 10 years ago!
It deals soley with the American born children of immigrants giving them insurance coverage for health care as native born US citizens.
The walk-out was STAGED by the republicans who lost in their attempt to block the renewal of the program (btw, Bush has promised to veto the bill because the financing is set to come from increased tobacco company taxation so this whole fiasco is moot, the bill will die on his desk in September).
The bill was TIED at 214:214 when the gavel came down and the Chair announced the vote. A tie means Republicans failed to garner the votes to defeat it. The vote was reopened, and the final vote was 225:204, had the gavel not come down in the first place, they STILL would have lost.
Meanwhile, the republicans staged a tele-prompter to show the incomplete vote, 213:215 with the words SHAME SHAME SHAME superimposed on it while cameras captured them standing and chanting the same words. THAT image is what they released to every news outlet, including CNN who then ran the story.
It was just a matter of hours before the facts came out.

It was another example of Republican rhetoric being ratcheted up to the level of out right lies to the American people. It was not a bill giving HEALTH CARE FOR ALL ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS as they suggested, and they failed to block it when the vote was tied 214:214 at the time the vote gaveled.
Don't believe me? Look it up for once.
