MACON, Ga. — Some Macon residents have called for demonstrations and boycotts after the mayor of the central Georgia city formally reached out to Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez with a declaration of solidarity.
Mayor Jack Ellis said the declaration, sent about two weeks ago by courier, was a message that local leaders can stand together despite disagreements at the highest reaches of government.

Some local leaders have blasted the mayor's decision to support Chavez, a vocal ally of Iran and Cuba who has called President Bush "the devil."
Former mayoral candidate David Corr said the mayor's comments were "an outrage."

"We should condemn Chavez as an enemy of liberty," Corr said. "In fact, we should also condemn Ellis as an enemy of liberty."

Unreal! I mean unreal!!! Well, they're getting their way, the nation is being divided even more quickly. When are people going to realize that Islam is not a peaceful religion. Their only motive is to destroy America and I can see em now dancing in the streets firing off their guns and partying over this news.
Back to the dems, at least I was a tiny bit relieved to see some that were being interviewed after Chavez made his speech appalled and even saying that he went too far.

Why can't we go back and arrest people as traitors?????? Because we have freedom that was never intended to go in this direction.

This article really just has me flaming right now. To me... this identifies the real problem of this country. We have people of authority like this mayor, the kennedy's and other DEMocrats that cater to Chavez, an enemy of the United States because he gives free heating oil to the poor people. This is nothing more than bribery. Chavez is using the only tool he has (OIL) to influence American politics, and of course the DEMS are sucking it up. It makes me sick the levels the DEMS go to, to pander to the ignorant poor of this country.

Great post but I disagree. Being black has nothing to do with it,
being a liberal Dem, everything. Baltimore's former Mayor O'malley
said somthing to the effect that America has more to fear from
GW Bush than Osama Bin Laden. O'mally was then elected governor
of Maryland. He is White. Being stupid is an equal oportunity afliction.

What I'm tired of from the BLACK "democrat" ISLAM loving leaders of this country is their constant call for hate and racism and violence against America. These people are in power because their BLACK constituents hate America. They are more then willing to fill their neighborhoods with drugs, with gangs, with crime, with welfare, with violence, because they want to destroy America from the inside out.
