Politics Do Not Pass/Pass With Care. Today's truckers are far more educated and cognizant of the issues regarding politics due to the sharp increase in talk radio, and various trucking news media sources. Talk politics. Do truckers like politicians?

Fox News Wants War With Iran..

With Iraq, reaching previously unimaginable levels of violence, with the US military stretched to the breaking point and with America's international reputation in tatters, it's remarkable that any sane person could argue for a preemptive US attack against Iran. But there do seem to be some in government and the media calling for this course of action.
Last month, The Guardian [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. that the balance in the internal White House debate over Iran has shifted back in favor of military action before President George Bush leaves office in 18 months. Dick Cheney--no surprise!--is said to be strongly in favor of an attack while Condoleezza Rice and Robert Gates are resisting him. More recently, ex-CIA agent Robert Baer writing in Time magazine [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. that an attack could be imminent.
You'd think that complete failure in Iraq would give even the neo-cons pause here but the drumbeat has now been taken up by Fox News, which, as an important [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. by Robert Greenwald and [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. shows, has been using jingoistic programming to push the nation into an attack. Unproven allegations detailing Iran's supposed rapid nuclear arms build-up (sound familiar?) are juxtaposed with military "experts" making the case for war without the nuisance of having to debate voices opposed to a military strike.

You claim "failure" in Iraq, and quote Fox news as wanting to go to war with Iran? Open your eyes and stop believing everything you see on TV. When the news agencies start dictating national policy, it's time to find a new country!

Spoken like a true Democrat!! (And I don't mean that in a nice way)

It's time to find a new country!!

What do you call our fiasco in Iraq?

I know years of republican incompetence have conditioned you to view catastrophic failure as "success"...However , that doesn't make it so in the eyes of people who can see the truth..

About Fox, I simply played a video of THEIR OWN BROADCASTS..

But who are you gonna belive, me or you lying eyes...

I am sure you didn't mean it in a nice way, republicans rarely respond in an intelligent way when asked to think for themselves..

Your not unique, but if it's any consolation, most democrats really have no use for you people either .I don't mean that in a good way either..

Just saying...

Catastrophic Failure!! Have you been to Iraq? Or are you getting your pictures from TV and the Internet? Talk about lying eyes!

I am not a registered republican. I vote for democrats when their voting records and beliefs fall in line with mine. I do the research before I commit to a vote in any election. You, sir, are addicted to the liberal democrat kool aid.

I've been to Iraq several times in my 17 year military career and will be going back again in a month. I guess we'll see what my lying eyes will show me then, again.

As for intelligence and thinking for myself: I hold an associates degree in Intelligence Operations from Cochise College in AZ, and Bachelors degree in Accounting from Thomas Edison State College in NJ. I have worked in military intelligence with a surveillance background for mor than 13 years. I think I am capable of thinking for myself.

Hillary agrees its working
August 21, 2007 -- WASHINGTON - [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. told a veterans group yesterday that President Bush's troop surge is working -- but that it is still time to bring U.S. troops home from Iraq.
www.nypost.com/seven/08212007/news/nationalnews/surge_working__but_too_late__h.htm -

Even the idiot Levin can see its working
"We have seen indications that the surge of additional brigades to Baghdad and its immediate vicinity and the revitalized counter-insurgency strategy being employed have produced tangible results in making several areas of the capital more secure. We are also encouraged by continuing positive results — in al-Anbar Province, from the recent decisions of some of the Sunni tribes to turn against [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. and cooperate with coalition force efforts to kill or capture its adherents," the two said in a statement issued after leaving the country.

Uh..Yes I did cut and paste this article AND supplied the link..

Unlike republican posters who rarely source any of their wild claims..

That way I didn't have to hear, "whered ya get that info from?, probly made it up"

I grew tired of reading republican lies on this forum, and thought it time another point of view is debated ..

I doubt though, any of you actually read or watched the link..

As far as you going to Iraq, thats terrific, you must be very proud..

As far as me getting my news from NEWS SOURCES ...Are you kidding me?

Where else would I get it?

So, according to you, I should just get my news from "soldiers", right?

Then, why don't you post an account about the marvelous success stories you've witnessed during your "multiple tours", and the lasting , positive difference YOUR personal involvement has made in the lives of the Iraqi people affected by your service while you helped occupy their country..

I'd love to read it...Make a believer out of me..

Until then, I'm sticking with respected publications, and legitimate news outlets, of which Rupert Murdoch has no affiliation to.

BTW...I don't belive you ever voted democrat..the "democrat kool-aid " remark was a dead give away, in a failed attempt to make you APPEAR impartial..

Almost ever soldier I talk too says otherwise. 2 million Iraq's fleeing say otherwise. If this was a great success then Retired generals wouldn't be speaking out against it. Fox would show glowing reports. Bush wouldn't need to write the report Gen Petraus is suppose to give.
