A spokesman for the FBI said that the men, 15 Saudi Arabians and 4 Egyptians, were carrying "box-cutters, flight-manuals, copies of the Koran, and death shrouds" at the time of their arrests and had booked flights bound from New York and Boston to the West Coast intending to hijack the flights and use them to "crash into various federal buildings."

The FBI said that the group comprised part of the al Qaeda terrorist network run by Osama bin Laden, a wealthy Islamic fundamentalist and Saudi dissident.

In an interview broadcast on CNN, a spokesman for the Saudi Arabian embassy in Washington said, "These men were arrested because they are of Middle Eastern descent. It’s an outrage."

When reached for comment, a spokesman for the Arab-American Anti-Defamation Committee called the arrests "an outrageous example of racial profiling."

Ari Fleisher, President Bush’s press secretary, said the White House would make no comment about the arrests until more was known.

I know this is gonna turn into Clintons fault. But here goes anyways.
What If George Bush would have thought about osama bombing the Cole when he took office. It was only 3 months before. Guess Dubya thought "Osama wouldn't dare mess with a Bush."
What if Dubya had paid attention to the Aug. 6th PDB "Bin Laden determined to strike USA"
What if Dubya had not spend 3 of his first 8 months in Crawford.
What If Amerca could have seen the difference in 9/11 and Iraq.
What If the Republicans could have seen how their majority party would been sent packing, because of his incompetence.
We could "what if" forever. Especially about Bush and the republican majority.
Ok, all you Clinton haters.have at it. But remember. we are talking about Bush. The one thats is the president. The one that 9/11 happened on his watch. The one that said 6 months and 3 days after 9/11 "I don't know where Osama is, I just don't think about him anymore"

What if Bob Dole had gotten elected? We would not have had
the intelligence wall built so that illegal campaign funds and
drugs lords would have access to the white house. Osama
would have been captured because Bob Dole would have
been runing the country instead of running after women.
When the CIA called the whitehouse to say they had
access to Osama, Bob Dole would have said to handle it.
Bob Dole knows Osama was not a US citizen and did not
need to be given his miranda rights before being taken out.
How is that for a positive post? No need to even mention
the name of the Rapist....

It would have scoffed at because these hijackers flight skills couldn't even get them able to rent single engine prop planes, let alone twin engine 757-767's, or to perform the highly advanced Top-Gun level maneuvers (in the case of the Pentagon)

I guess if I have a medical book, or a classic Operation game laying around, that enables me to perform open heart surgery.

And how they got the entire US military to stand-down, just amazing.

So i guess you have the only real video of the accual palne that hit the pentagon? I didn't think so. So you can't say for sure that it was a plane. You can only say what you have heard and read. But not what you have seen. With your credibility, and support for Georgey boi, I don't think anything you say anymore counts for more than anything Dubya says.

Funny how Ronno only wants to set up straw-men to tackle. He ignored the other points I made.

It is funny how the only footage released doesn't really confirm one way or the other what hit the Pentagon.

But what is weird, is that the White House had a Airborne command jet flying overhead at exactly the same time the attack was going down...

Lee Hamilton (who was on the 9/11 commision) stated in that video that you can't sort though all the eveidence. That probably got him a call from the White House.
Also, I guess alot of people forgot that Bush refuse to testify. And that he didn't want an investigation.
And for starters. Bush did nothing before 9/11. Even though the threat was there. There were warnings.
This is how and why people investigate things like this. Because they don't add up. And when they start investigating, they learn all sorts of new facts that the Bush administration never released. Why didn't they release everything? Was it to cover up something? Do they think the American people do not deserve to know. Or was it to cover up something else. Something that they knew they could spin. Something they knew they could claim as a crazy conspiracy theory.
