Truckers' Trucking Forum/Message Board - The Premiere Truck Driver Forum

Politics Do Not Pass/Pass With Care. Today's truckers are far more educated and cognizant of the issues regarding politics due to the sharp increase in talk radio, and various trucking news media sources. Talk politics. Do truckers like politicians?

And before that...like about 6 years, who had the authority? Who is obstructing the Democrats in their efforts to bring some light in?? It isn't even just Democrats..I watch CSPAN and believe me the Republicans get just as frustrated with the obfuscation...

This isn't about party affiliation...it's about accountability...no matter who's.

I agreee, I don't have an interest in KBR or Haliburton. But I do have a interest in this one sided argument that this is a Republcian problem. Demcoarats have control and they are failing to follow through with any of their promises of accountability. This is the stuff the DEMS should be bringing out, should be fighting against, but they are not. You can point at fingers at the Republcians, but Clinton used KBR and Haliburton as well for Bosnia. I doubt this reckless accountalbity is something new to Iraq.

Cav, it's not the dems or repub. It's the fact that the intire government fails. from sending our troops to Iraq instead of Afganistan, to feeding them poison, to over KBR over charging. Wrong is wrong. And taking the side of the wrong do'ers, is just as wrong.

First Cav...your attitude of 'it's the Democrats fault' , it's Clinton etc. really makes no sense to me.

The last 6 years or so have been dominated by the Republicans...they even changed the rules of how business was done on the floor of the House and Senate...to frustrate the Democrats...and Democrats have a slim margin now (soon to be larger)..and have been in 'power' for 10 or so months....everything they have tried to do is being vetoed by a president that never used it until this year...you are using the only thing this crowd has...deflection....change the subject...blame someone else...

You use words like 'reckless accountability'...what the hell does that mean?

No one here is talking about anything else other than Iraq because that is the subject at hand...did this exist before...you bet it did...do you know who brought in privatizing the military?? Want to guess? Do you know when it started? Again...any guesses....

It's been a problem...but it has grown huge...

If you have a problem with hearing anything that doesn't keep the shine on your guy in the white house...better batten down the hatches, black the windows and don't listen to or read anything that isn't approved by your guru.

Good Luck,
KJ

You don't need a vote to have hearings into these matters? The dems have had plenty of hearings on some really stupid things since the took office. Surely they can find time to get to the heart of this issue. I can remember them making a campaign promise about that, didn't they? They were going to get Haliburton and the big oil companies. Have they done anything yet, no it's just more of the same from DEMocrats.

I said it a hundred times on this thread. The accusations are sensationalized. I'm sure there is over billing, I'm sure there is bad management but to try and link that directly to the white house is SILLY. This article is a hate article, I wouldn't expect anything else from Vanity Fair.

If I was Haliburton I would move my headquarters out of the US, somewhere friendly like Dubai. Then I would suspend all US operations, and let them figure it out.

You're playing with me now right FistCav??

I don't know what the schedule is...I'd check CSPAN-1, 2 and 3....they've been having hearings for months...some specific some related...they have a library you can listen to.
