| Should there be a Law with Requirments to Brand your Company News? just something i thought of as i was reading some of these political posts and alot of people don't believe sources branded as News, CNN, FOX, New York Times, Washington Post, ect ect ect... Reporters Sue FOX TV-Inside Story http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article1212.htm told by station manager David Boylan: "We paid $3 billion for these television stations. We will decide what the news is. The news is what we tell you it is." http://www.fair.org/extra/9806/foxbgh.html Should there be a Law that Clearly States Requirements that a Company must meet to Brand Themselves as News and if they do not meet those Requirements should be Branded as Opinion the word OPINION MUST be made APPERANT and Obvious that the material that your reading is not FACTUAL NEWS! and I for 1 would love to make the 1st rule to brand yourself news as NO CELEBRITY DIVORCE, OJ, BRITTANY, or any other CRAP that wastes my time, u can have Entertainment tonight and Access Holywood crap for that lol

| We have enough laws. Fox has done the same thing for years. It has taken a while, but most people know Fox News is bias. What I don't agree with, is one network being able to buy up it's competition. As in Clear Channel. But then again, thats another law. Because, I have a remote control, and I have a channel selector button. And for the remaining few truckers that still support lil hitler, I have a squelch. And it works great. |

I think a law Mandating certain rules and regulations to Brand yourself as a news outlet would increase American trust in news sources after they have been approved o yeah about those 2 articles i posted the court ruled in Favor of Fox News..

| Because from the outside looking in, the media appears to be market driven. As when the Republicans are messing up, democratic media pops up. Which is somewhat true. But, when your in the middle ofa bunch of voting NEOCONS (aka east Texas) and there is no media from the other side, you just don't know there is anything other than Rush or Fox. Thank God for Satelite Radio. |
