Politics Do Not Pass/Pass With Care. Today's truckers are far more educated and cognizant of the issues regarding politics due to the sharp increase in talk radio, and various trucking news media sources. Talk politics. Do truckers like politicians?

Where has the Congress interfered with any rules of engagement? Isn't that strictly a military (executive) branch area?

Has Congress banned anything? Has Congress defunded anything related to ROE? I don't think so. Everything that has been done - or not done - has been under the unfettered hand of the Administration.

so, again, please specify where/when Congress has impeded the day-to-day combat operations of the military forces in the War on Terror.

Thumbs up

I wish the American press had the balls to show what a war is really like. I went through Kuwait and Dubia about 10 times. Tune in Al Jazeera, Al Aribiya, and the others and you will see why they can keep the Muslims POd at us. If the Palestinians are bombed they show uncut footage of parents carrying their kids off-in pieces. Same with anything that our soldiers do in Iraq. Blood and guts for all to see and remember. What do Katie Koran and her fellow journalists {i use that term reluctantly} report on? 68 reports on Abu Grave, 55 on Haditha Dam that turned out to be BS, etc, etc. Why not show some of our guys that have been captured and found dead. Many with their privates cut off and shoved in their mouths. Burned while crowds of wild Muslims foam at the mouth in glee. Ever been there when they bring in what's left of a Blackhawk
crew and passengers after it is shot down-in plastics baggies? I wish like Hell they would what these filthy animals are capable of. Then the American public would demand that our guys be given carte blanche to do whatever they need to insure their safety. It was sad to get a copy of Army Times and read what Reid, Pelosi, driving instructor Kennedy, and others were saying back home, and know that these fine men and women were having to fight two wars when the one at hand was hard enough!

The military is fighting over there because Bush sent them over there. Congress voted to allow him to. But Bush made the desicion to send the troops over there to fight an enemy you can't see.
Bush couldn't win a war with little plastic soldiers. Even if he had the B. B. Gun. Everything with this president has been "trial and error". You can't expect anyone that stupid to make the right desicions for men and women in uniform.

This is exactly why the Media is the way it is. Case and point, It sells.
