Thats not true. They are powerful enough to take out many countries. Not everyone lives under American Might! Thats what Conservative military policy presents for you. But if they were to aquire the bomb? They instantly become pretty dang powerful.

As for how long have they been enemies??? ROFL Try over 2000 years, but who is counting. They lived in peace under the Persians during their empire, but it may have been the longest time period since well before Moses.

The long history gives us a lessons learned archive of why we MUST watch this part of the world for the stability of the entire globe.

Well some may consider intelligent design or alien involvement "weird"
even if we was an alien experiment wouldn't they be considered "god" or could be considered?

This report does not downgrade the threat Iran is to its surrounding countries or America.... They still seek "the bomb"

I had a nice long post written and then the site went down. UGH! So here it goes again...

First off, what is your REAL question? You say before they are not a threat to any nation. Now you say to prove that they are. But put extra clarification for Israel. Is that what you really mean? They are not a threat to Israel? Because that is not the same question. Is Iran a threat to Israel? or Is Iran a threat to any nation? In terms of military power I am assuming from previous threats.

As for my opinion and total opinion, Iran is a threat to the region and to the peace of the world. As for if Iran and Israel had a drop down fight, mono to mono with no ally intervention: It would in my belief be a bloody war with Israel winning with its better training and equipment. Its been tried before. But lets be real. If a all out war (non-nuked) between Israel and Iran took place, it would turn into a world war catastrophe with the West and East clashing. That my friend would be biblical and you would find me in the nearest pew.

Iran:

The Islamic Republic of Iran Army is the ground force of [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. . In [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. , it is also called Artesh, which is [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. for "army." As of 2006, the regular Iranian Army was estimated to have 350,000 personnel, according to the [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. 's Military Balance.[LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. Conscripts serve for 18 months and have limited military training. [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link.
Iran has two parallel land forces with some integration at the command level: the regular Artesh, and the [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. or [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. .

Jane's reported that the Army was commanded via three army level headquarters with 12 divisions[LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. . The IISS reports that there were four armoured, and six infantry divisions, two commando divisions, plus an airborne brigade. The IISS estimates in the Military Balance 2006 that there are four Corps HQ, with no Army level HQs reported, four armoured divisions with some independent brigades, six infantry divisions with some independent brigades, six artillery groups, and aviation forces. [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. Often reported formations include the 23rd Special Forces Division, established in 1993-1994, and the 55th Paratroop Division. One source reports that the 23rd Special Forces Division is amongst the most professional units in the Iranian Army, with 5,000 regulars soldiers and strictly no conscripts.
The regular armoured divisions are sub-divided into three brigades.
The regular army also has a number of independent brigades and groups, though there is almost no reliable data on the size and number of these smaller independent formations. These include one logistics brigade, an infantry brigade, an airborne brigade, special forces ([LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. ) brigades, and five artillery brigades/regiments. There are also coastal defense units, a growing number of air defense groups, between four and six army aviation units, and a growing number of logistics and supply formations.
There are a variety of other reports of doubtful veracity. Some sources claim that small light formations in the regular army include an Airmobile Forces Group created after the [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. . This formation is said to include the 29th Special Forces Division, which was formed in 1993-1994, and the 55th Paratroop Division. Other sources[[LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. ] claim that the commando forces of the regular army and [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. are integrated into a Corps of about 30,000 soldiers, with integrated helicopter lift and air assault capabilities. These airborne and special forces troops are said to train together at [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. .

The [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. of Iran is the [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. , named after a [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. . Born as the brainchild of [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. Mir-Younes Masoumzadeh, deputy ground force commander for research and self-sufficiency of the armed forces, the Iranian Zulfiqar [Zolfaqar] [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. is developed from major components of the Russian [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. and American [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. and [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. tanks. This tank, which produced in Iran, is said to be similar in configuration to the M48 and M60. One of the features of the Zulfiqar tank which has drawn the attention of the Defense Ministry is that indigenously-made parts have been used in it. The testing prototypes of the tank were tested in 1993. Six semi-industrial prototypes of the tank were produced and tested in 1997. The [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. estimates that 100 are now in service.[LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link.
So, for this fictional comparison, lets look at a neighbor like Turkmenistan:

Quote:

The army, which had been reduced to about 11,000 personnel by 1996, is organized into one corps headquarters, three motorized rifle divisions, one artillery brigade, one multiple rocket launcher regiment, one antitank regiment, one engineer brigade, and one independent helicopter squadron. There are also signal, reconnaissance, and logistics support units. The three motorized rifle divisions are based at Ashgabat, Gushgy, and Gyzylarbat. The army's inventory includes about 530 M-72 main battle tanks, 338 armored infantry fighting vehicles, 543 armored personnel carriers, 345 pieces of towed artillery, sixteen self-propelled guns, 114 multiple rocket launchers, sixty-three mortars, fifty-four antitank guns, and fifty air defense guns. About 5,000 personnel serve in the Turkmenistan Border Guard, which is commanded jointly by Turkmenistan and Russia. The Border Guard Command was established in 1992 to replace the Soviet-era Central Asian Border Troops District of the Committee for State Security (KGB) of the Soviet Union. The border guards patrol the wild, mountainous Afghan and Iranian frontiers, which total 1,750 kilometers and are rated the most sensitive borders of the country. The guards have small arms and some armored personnel carriers; experts evaluate them as an effective border force. Matériel Supply
How about a hated country like Kurwait:

Quote:
An estimate of the postwar strength of the Kuwaiti army, published in The Military Balance, 1992-1993, revealed the devastating effect of the Persian Gulf War. The disparate ground forces, estimated to number about 8,000, were to be reconstituted into four understrength mechanized and armored brigades, a reserve brigade, and an artillery brigade. Little matériel survived the war: some tanks, APCs, and 155mm guns. Kuwait's postwar equipment orders include 200 M-84 tanks (from Yugoslavia to offset previous Yugoslav oil purchases) and eighteen self-propelled 155mm guns from France. Kuwait also has received United States, Russian, and Egyptian armored vehicles.
And how about your real question, Isreal:

Quote:
Its conscription program, the IDF maintains approximately 168,000 active troops and an additional 408,000 reservists.[LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link.
The nation's military relies heavily on [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. designed and manufactured in Israel as well as some foreign imports. The [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. is a particularly notable foreign contributor; they are expected to provide the country with $30 billion in military aid between 2008 and 2017.[LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. The country has also developed its own [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. , the [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. . Since its establishment, Israel has had to spend a significant portion of its [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. on defense. In 1984, for example, the country spent 24%[LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. of its GDP on defense. Today, that figure has dropped to 7.3%.[LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link.
In the end, please note that Iran is not some helpless nation being bully'ed. It is a nation with the most powerful (in size) military in the region and is being run by a true terrorrist. (please remember Munich!) I am not saying take him out now or later even, but for sure, watch him and have a plan to protect ourselves and our allies.

The headline should read...

IRAN DOES NOT HAVE NUCLEAR WEAPONS CAPABILITY........YET.

I don't fear the nation that has nuclear weapons........

I fear the nation that has only one.....and the willingness to use it.......

AGAINST US

My friends...and I do include those from both sides of this or any arguement...ANY nuclear weapons strike against the United States is absolutely unacceptable.

Simple answer: Zionism. The Zionists began moving into what is now called Israel in about 1910, sped up the process after WWII and these thugs have been persecuting, murdering, and stealing from the Palestinians ever since. The indigenous peoples have every reason and right to despise the Israeli pigs and by extension the United States since we were the ones who helped establish this little bigoted piece of sh**, and we still support them. No wonder we get attacked. Zionist propaganda would have us believe that to be anti- Israel is to be anti-Jew. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Would Anti-zionist/neoconservative be more correct? Rather than anti-Israel..I have no problem with Israel..I have no problem with those of the jewish faith or heritage....I have a problem with zionist/neoconservative policy.
