British Headline: ‘Gore Criticised for Lining His Own Pockets’

It appears America's closest ally is beginning to see through Al Gore's international global warming con game.
On November 30, the Nobel Laureate was the keynote speaker at the Fortune Forum's [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. in London, "An historic evening of spectacular entertainment, dining and inspiration to raise global awareness and to influence good policy."
Unfortunately, the former vice president badly disappointed attendees which included Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Sir David Frost, Sir Bob Geldorf, and former Prime Minister Tony Blair.
In fact, by all accounts, Gore was a miserable flop. Think American media will be sharing this revelation with their patrons any time soon?
While you ponder, England's Daily Mail [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. Sunday (emphasis added throughout):
Story Continues Below Ad
Al Gore has come under fire for making personal gain from his mission to save the planet after charging £3,300 a minute [about $6,600] to deliver a poorly received speech.
The former American Vice-President was also accused of being "precious" at the London event, demanding his own VIP room and ejecting journalists, despite hopes the star-studded gathering would generate publicity for the fight against global warming. Many of the audience at last month's Fortune Forum summit were restless as Mr Gore, who has won both a Nobel Peace Prize and an Oscar for his campaigning work this year, delivered the half-hour speech that netted him £100,000 [about $200,000].
Seems a metaphysical certitude our media will thoroughly ignore the Global Warmingist-in-Chief's deplorable behavior:
But a source told The Mail on Sunday: "Many guests looked tired and began to talk among themselves during his speech. Heads began to twitch with tiredness.
"Al uses his position for great personal gain. He goes from event to event delivering a similar speech, earning a large fee, and a lot of the time he doesn't actually inform the audience.
"He refused to speak to journalists and security would usher away VIP guests and the Press.
"He was being very precious and demanded his own VIP room before the event, where he held his own exclusive reception.
"The other guests were cut off. It was very clear that many guests were disappointed by this."
How long has NewsBusters been telling you that this whole charade is about Gore getting rich? But I digress:
Even some of the charities benefitting from the event were unhappy with the actions of 59-year-old Mr Gore and his entourage, especially the way they treated invited guests.
Paul Hetherington, media relations manager for WaterAid, said: "Pictures couldn't be taken and people were being moved out of the main hall so they couldn't experience the event. It was very disruptive.
"We had to apologise to people who were invited. We wanted to say thank you for all the support that many people had given us, but some of them were asked to leave.
"Many guests were invited by the hosts, so why should the speaker have any control over these guests and removing the media? It defeated the object of trying to raise awareness of the cause."
When will people learn that the only cause Al Gore has ever been concerned with is himself?

Is it not the goal of every single person on the planet to make as much money as posable? This is how he makes his living now plus I am sure he had expences that had to be covered.
And as far as the vip room THE MAN IS THE FORMER VP OF THE UNITED STATES, should they have just put him up in a ho joe's.
The security they are refering to is the secret service and it is there job to keep everybody away from him especially in a foreign country.
And the $200,000 from nobel went to charity. As far as the crowed being bored, There british they would'ent know fun if it bit them on there bum!
Sorry-Former Vice Presidents don't get Secret Service. Only the Pres. More power to Fat Al. Just don't whine about siding salesmen, TV preachers, infomercials, etc. Like PT Barnam said "there's a sucker born every minute."
26 years old huh. Too young to remember Monty Python Flying Circus. How about Mr. Bean? Chef? The Brits are a bit stuffy, but they have put out some pretty good comedy over the years. Not Seinfeld, but a lot better than Friends, Will & Grace, and a lot of others that H-wood has put out.

You might be right about the secret service. I can't find anything that states former vp's get secret service, i thought they did.
I am not nor have i ever been a big fan of his but at least he's one of the people geting the global mesage topic into the mainstream. And that's a good thing, regardless of my feelings of him.
Ps. The holly grail is one of the best movies of all time.
And if you are a fan of world history then you have to check out eddie izzard's stand up, the man will make cry. he's that funny.
There is, yet another, believable report from the scientific community that pretty much debunks Algore's contentions.

New Study Explodes Human-Global Warming Story

As much of the U.S. is being blasted by vicious ice storms, a blockbuster report published in a prestigious scientific journal insists that the evidence shows that climate warming is both natural and unstoppable and that carbon dioxide (CO2) is not a pollutant.
Writing in the International Journal of Climatology of the Royal Meteorological Society, professor David H. Douglass (of the University of Rochester), professor John R. Christy (of the University of Alabama), Benjamin D. Pearson and professor S. Fred Singer (of the University of Virginia) report that observed patterns of temperature changes ("fingerprints") over the last 30 years disagree with what greenhouse models predict and can better be explained by natural factors, such as solar variability.
The conclusion is that climate change is "unstoppable" and cannot be affected or modified by controlling the emission of greenhouse gases, such as CO2, as is proposed in current legislation.

Algore better make all the money he can, now, before the gravy train runs out of track. Ya' gotta' hand it to him though. Good scam.

So that hole in the ozone just got there by itself?
I agree with them that it is dew to solar variabilities, but the question is what is causing them? It is not the sun.
The sun is addmiting the same solar constant(amount of solar electromagntic radiation measured on the outer surface of earths atmosphere)that it was 1,000 years ago but the percetage of the earth that gets it is fadeing.
The Co2 is creating a blanket in which the sun can not penetrate.
Simply put the Earth is geting less of the sun solar radiation which sounds like a good thing. but it's not because without the it the planet will
die.
And now for the realy bad news the Co2 is eating away at the Ozone layer which is are only protection from the complete power of the sun which could make the earth a fireball.
So to recap minor doeses of solar radiation is good plants love it trees love it and the human body loves it.
Solar radiation in high doeses makes the planet go BOOM!
