It seems the rest of the world is starting to get smart. They are reclaiming language and actually dropping the moniker "War on Terror"...one of the most misleading terms around (and Bushco is full of them)...

The words "war on terror" will no longer be used by the British government to describe attacks on the public, the country's chief prosecutor said Dec. 27.

Sir Ken Macdonald said terrorist fanatics were not soldiers fighting a war but simply members of an aimless "death cult."
The Director of Public Prosecutions said: 'We resist the language of warfare, and I think the government has moved on this. It no longer uses this sort of language."


London is not a battlefield, he said.
"The people who were murdered on July 7 were not the victims of war. The men who killed them were not soldiers," Macdonald said. "They were fantasists, narcissists, murderers and criminals and need to be responded to in that way."


His remarks signal a change in emphasis across Whitehall, where the "war on terror" language has officially been ditched.

The term "Islamic terrorist" will also no longer be used. Officials believe it is unhelpful because it appears to directly link the religion to terrorist atrocities.

What a stupid head in the sand liberal approach! While not all the terrorists are Muslim by far the VAST majority is. Calling them "islamic terrorist" is an ACCURATE TERM......if the shoe fits wear it type of thing.

Calling criminals 'warriors' or 'soldiers' only empowers them...calling it a "War on Terror" only gives them sanction...calling them "Islamic Terrorist" is misleading and detrimental.

They are criminals pure and simple, regardless of their motives. This isn't a crusade and should not be presented as one. period.

Thats a good question. cause we have lost over 5,000 in Iraq and Afghanistan in this "war on Terror". We have had 30,000 injured in this war on terror. How many suicides and how many left for Canada in this "War on Terror". We arew loosing allies in this war on terror. For what? What used to be a hand ful of radicals who were pissed off at us for invading and building in their Holy Land.

The "War on Terror" is about as equal to the war on drugs, or the war on poverty. In reality, it means nothing. Just a patriotic slogan to get you to believe in some BS reason to Spend our money, so they can make more money and gain power in another Oil rich part of the world.

War on Terror. There needs to be a war on NEOCONS.
