Important Truckers Forum Notice!

Politics Do Not Pass/Pass With Care. Today's truckers are far more educated and cognizant of the issues regarding politics due to the sharp increase in talk radio, and various trucking news media sources. Talk politics. Do truckers like politicians?

A Polite Request

A couple of you people have really gone overboard with the cutesy political photographs accompanying your posts. I must admit that they're funny now and then but these HUGE pictures of President Bush (I'm not mentioning any names here-wink) doing various salutes have gone from merely boring to obnoxious, and they are a real pain to scroll through not to mention a selfish waste of bandwidth. Let's all attempt to grow up...

Just the final act of a terminal Ron Paul supporter. Guess the minions want to go out with their boots on.

If you turn off signatures you won't see any of it. I didn't realize people even had photos being displayed until I started looking at the site without logging on.

My favorite is Luckylady, her pictures are awesome. lol

It still uselessly wastes bandwith even if you can't see them.

Thanks Rex.

Wow, you've been missing out on a LOT of pictures from Luckylady. You don't even know what you've been missing.

I have to agree and this is a good post! Yes, you CAN turn off being able to see member's signatures...that might be best for some for sure. I tried hacking the site to only show one signature per page, but I had problems with it and had to remove the hack. So, I agree, let's all try and be decent and keep the picture sizes down for sure. Thanks!

You have the option to show or hide various elements of messages, which may be of use to users on slow internet connections, or who want to remove extraneous clutter from posts.
UN-check the box show signatures if you don't want to see them (in your UserCP).

I remember one or two of her sig graphics being large, but she changes them frequently and most have been smaller.

Perhaps "these people" who post these multiple over-sized images could ask someone who has software/knowledge to "re-size" them.
