Truckers' Trucking Forum/Message Board - The Premiere Truck Driver Forum

Politics Do Not Pass/Pass With Care. Today's truckers are far more educated and cognizant of the issues regarding politics due to the sharp increase in talk radio, and various trucking news media sources. Talk politics. Do truckers like politicians?

Just to tie it in with todays issues....

Gee, you would think that with 35 years of Hillary's experience and her working "for the children", this problem would have long ago been solved. Seems to be about 3 billion dead children on her watch that we have to account for.......

I was almost with ya (your statements are all accurate)till you made this inane comment. Please explain your banal assertion that this was "Hillary's watch".

As for you other two, your figures really are bogus and I have yet to see either of you working at or donating to the "Food Bank Of The Rockies", where I volunteer when I've got the time.

Let's straighten out our own local mess first...

I'm making a relatively lighthearted comment on Hillary's claim to have 35 years of experience, and her frequent claims that it is for the children. That phrase, "for the children" has become a mantra for any liberal dogooder to rum through any program that they want to support, and they basically dare anyone to go against it because they will be tagged as not being "for the children".

If she truly is the child advocate that she has always claimed to be, as in her tome on proper childrearing (which even takes it's name from an old bit of African doggerel), "It Takes a Village", and she has been actively on guard and working on childrens behalf or the last 35 years, then the 3 billion deaths would have been during her time protecting the worlds children from harm.

Nothing wrong with a little Hillary bashing to liven up the thread. I know a lot o people are kicking her because she is down, but I want it on record that I was kicking her while she was up as well.

Wasn't this what the UN took care of in the 50's and 60's until they became inept country club they are today?

Neoconservatism is the political philosophy that emerged in rejection of liberalism and the New Left counter-culture of the 1960s.

As a term, neoconservative first was used derisively by democrat socialist Michael Harrington to identify a group of people (who called themselves liberal) as newly conservative ex-liberals. The term stuck, because it is accurate and because neoconservatives accepted that they are conservative.

Do you mean to say that at some point in the distant past, they weren't an inept country club for the younger brothers of various dictators?

In a word, YES. Sometime in a past century.

Love the world into change.
Actually, because of efforts of Wealthy Industrial Countries (primarily the US) Infant Mortality (children under 5) from ALL causes has dropped to less than 9.7M for the first time since 1960. If you compare the population NOW and THEN, there would have to be over 25M deaths to have the same mortality rate as 1960. So when you "HATE AMERICA FIRST" crowd say the world would be better-off without the Good Old USA or decry the "Evil Corporations", give thought to the "poor children" worldwide.
