Politics Do Not Pass/Pass With Care. Today's truckers are far more educated and cognizant of the issues regarding politics due to the sharp increase in talk radio, and various trucking news media sources. Talk politics. Do truckers like politicians?

US Military Report - No Saddam-Al Qaida Link

[LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link.

Quote:
WASHINGTON — An exhaustive review of more than 600,000 Iraqi documents that were captured after the 2003 U.S. invasion has found no evidence that Saddam Hussein's regime had any operational links with Osama bin Laden's al Qaida terrorist network.
The Pentagon-sponsored study, scheduled for release later this week, did confirm that Saddam's regime provided some support to other terrorist groups, particularly in the Middle East, U.S. officials told McClatchy. However, his security services were directed primarily against Iraqi exiles, Shiite Muslims, Kurds and others he considered enemies of his regime.
The new study of the Iraqi regime's archives found no documents indicating a "direct operational link" between Hussein's Iraq and al Qaida before the invasion, according to a U.S. official familiar with the report.
And now the Pentagon has reversed itself about availability of the report making it difficult to obtain and read:

ABC News' Jonathan Karl Reports: The Bush Administration apparently does not want a U.S. [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. that found no direct connection between Saddam Hussein and al Qaeda to get any attention. This morning, the Pentagon cancelled plans to send out a press release announcing the report's release and will no longer make the report available online.

The report was to be posted on the Joint Forces Command website this afternoon, followed by a background briefing with the authors. No more. The report will be made available only to those who ask for it, and it will be sent via U.S. mail from Joint Forces Command in Norfolk, Virginia.
Must be pretty embarrassing to the White House.

Wow. 6 years late. 4,000 dead U.S. soldiers. 1,500,000+ dead Iraqis. U.S. reputation destroyed. $3 trillion spent. Trillions more debt. Stuck there for 100 years. Al Qaeda stronger. Taliban stronger. Afghanistan completely unstable. Whoops! Disgusting. Mi$$ion A˘˘ompli$hed!!

First... learn to spell. It's spelled "coming."

Far Left????

How do you figure that? Back up that absurd claim. Document that ad hominem.

How does REPORTING on a -- ahem -- Pentagon sourced study which discredits the link used by the Administration to justify a war with Iran, render ABC News Far Left? After all, it's the Pentagon's study/report, not ABC's.

Funny somebody disagrees with you and you try to insult them...

So, what Mr Patatoe man.... every think that perhaps I may of hit the key twice by accident? Anyways, I laugh at people like you...

Now back to to the point...
For both of you.. I never said one network is better then the other..
That would be the same thing as saying one political pole is better then the other..

The fact is you need to take all of them and put them together and the truth is a little of each one... Another words you have to pull out the political view the network is trying to push..

Want proof? well give me a few and i will get back to you on that...

um, yes you did. by proclaiming that ABC News, which is Owned by Disney btw, is a Far Left news source, you are trying to smear it with a very broad brush without even the scarcest of support. Very flimsy.

Again, what does this have to do with the actual content of the Pentagon report which discredits the Al Qaida linkage used by the Administration to justify the war?

ABC News Political Director Mark Halperin, on the Hugh Hewitt's radio show, “says well over 70 percent of the people working on his network's political coverage are liberal, and would vote Democratic.”

Truckerjo, don't bother arguing.

They hate Bush, that's not going to change.
They hate America, that's not going to change.
