It really isn't and should not be seen or considered as a matter of rights. If it is then the Muslim who wants to have multiple wives should be afforded the same rights. There are some tribes in south east Asia where 2 or 3 men might share one wife or 3 or 4 men share 2 women as wives. What about them if they move to the States. The problem as I see it is one of definition. I don't care if a couple of homosexuals decide to make some commitment to each other and if the state deems fit to recognize it as a legal union of some sort but please don't call it married cause it isn't. They remind me of the little girl who wants to play on the boys hockey team. I mean it's the BOYS hockey team stupid. you don't fit by definition. Now if this makes me some kind of ##### so be it

Wrong!!! It does effect our home life, if we believe in the Christian values and our kids see this, and ask questions. Sorry, but there is enough working against the Christian values, and this ADDS to it.

Sorry, but the politicians don't even have christian values anymore. If you cannot instill it in your family without outside support, then you will have a problem.

The stipulation is we don't condone polygamy...who knows maybe one day that will change...I don't know. However, the same argument..separate but equal...was used on Blacks...it's UNCONSTITUTIONAL. It's well known and accepted that the GLBT community are real people, real orientation etc. this isn't some lark used to waste taxpayer money. My question is why is this found to be so threatening?

These are YOUR beliefs. Your religion. What does that have to do with imposing on other people? There was a time, not very distant, when the Bible was used to justify our treatment of Blacks in this country. I see a real problem...what are gays getting married doing TO you...nothing, you are afraid of having to talk to your children about sex? Or talking to your children regarding your particular values? The world is a big place, you will encourage your children the same way the Amish and Mennonites do...they use a light hand and accept and love their children regardless.

Life in general adds to the difficulty of being a Christian. Jesus warned those who would follow him how the world would be against them. Hey why not outlaw everything then that might be offensive to God or jesus...anything offensive to our religion......

I didn't say they were my beliefs. I said that the Christian religion expressly forbids it. And I proved it. You cannot call yourself a Christian if you condone something the Bible, THE HOLY BOOK, expressly forbids. Something he destoyed two entire cities over.
