Politics Do Not Pass/Pass With Care. Today's truckers are far more educated and cognizant of the issues regarding politics due to the sharp increase in talk radio, and various trucking news media sources. Talk politics. Do truckers like politicians?

Bank failures are the least of our problems.

It's about a free flow of credit, a flow which has ground to a halt.

The banks that have survived so far don't trust each other to be there tomorrow, so aren't lending to each other.

And this rolls down the financial food chain.

Small businesses? Sorry, look elsewhere.
Home loans? Is your FICO above 780?
Student loans? Sorry.
Auto loans? 20% APR sound good?

But with unemployment skyrocketing and more and more people losing theirs homes, who will be able to do much of anything?

Can you say 1929?

Demand will always provide a way for business to grow, good business will survive..bad business deserves to fail.
Home loans? Is your FICO above 780?

Loans to good credit risks will continue...bad risks..well they got us here so let them find another way to get a loan. there are way more options today then in 1929.
Student loans? Sorry.

A smart kid will find a way to get into school. scholarships are still around.

Nothing wrong with driving a car only a few yrs old. better deal in most cases. I still drive my 18 yr old pick-up i bought new in 1991. It still has some life left in it.

But with unemployment skyrocketing and more and more people losing theirs homes, who will be able to do much of anything?

Unemployment? I thought this was a strong economy, growing in leaps and bounds..lol

Can you say 1929?
Yep this is what happens when supply side economics are left under regulated.
America will recover, stronger then ever. People were reckless with their spending and had unrealistic ideas of getting rich by borrowing and investing in real estate and the markets. Hardly ever happens, man was meant to toil for his living. Time for true conservatism and Regulated Capitalism to return.

You're still not getting it. I suppose you never will.

"Man was meant to toil for his living"? That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. If man were meant to toil for his living, truck drivers would not exist, you'd be dragging stuff around on sleds.

If you want to live in Dark Ages, build a time machine. Leave me out of it.

Adam's Curse, because of you the ground shall be cursed!

"And to the man He said,
Because you have listened to the voice of your wife you have eaten of the tree
about which I commanded you, saying, you shall not eat from it,
cursed shall be the ground because of you;
in sorrow you shall eat of it all the days of your life.
And thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you,
and you shall eat the plant of the field.
By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread until you return to the ground;
for out of it you have been taken;
for dust you are, and to dust you shall return. (Genesis 3:17-19)

no one said man had to do ALL his work by himself..but to think you can buy real estate with nothing down, make millions and live fat without work...nope. Let them fail...let Capitalism take over.
