(I forget.... where did they get your permission to do this?)
Funny you posted this.
I visited my nephew in Louisiana a couple weeks ago who is an electrician. He showed me several traffic cameras on light poles over roads in St Tammany Parish, LA (Slidell). He told me that St Tammany Sheriffs Office was using "facial recognition" to find sex offenders that were "driving" by schools. The cameras, by the way, were on major thru-ways and not some back side-streets. He said the "project" was so successful, the S.O. was "expanding" the project to look for ANYONE with a warrant.

The Tyranny of Good Intentions

Yup roadkill..... it's spreading like a prairie fire.
Lest I get "painted" into a corner, I want to talk about something.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I talk about the architecture of all this a lot.
Its design... all facets
the economy, the wars, the foreign policy, the domestic "security" (cameras included )

Do I think that all the Senators, the Reps, the soldiers,
the cops, the FBI, CIA etc. etc.
are IN on this thing? The grand design?
Are all conspirators?
No, absolutely not. I suffer not from paranoia..... more from anger I'd say.

(1.) let's get the obvious out of the way.
We can (now) see quite clearly where this is in fact heading...
a centralization of POWER; authority; control... on every level.
and not a National control (which would be bad enough)...
but a Global consolidation.

It is not our imagination. Headlines are replete with it. It is very real.
It has "owners". They in fact "know" and advance this cause.
Death and Calamity are and always have been "acceptable" stepping stones to them.
They are totalitarian with true humane, and God fearing consciences, seared shut.

But they are a small number, an Oligarchy in every sense.

(2.) I'd call the vast "other" majority unwitting but LETHAL "participants".
I'd break that group down further into 2 camps:
(1.) Whores (both Republican and Democrat ideologies)
(2.) Believers (both Republican and Democrat ideologies)

The "whores" simply don't give a sh#%$!... consciences goes as far as a paycheck or a bribe.
They feed on a me-first, ego driven, arrogant, tyrannical power trip...
whether in Committee meetings, black gov't SUVs, or black helmets.
Their numbers have grown exponentially since the Patriot Act.

The "believers" are where the "Tyranny of Good Intentions" comes in to play. They are deceived.
They "care"..... but they are absolutely WILLING to use FORCE. (In Jesus name, amen).
FORCE of government,
FORCE of unconstitutional law
or personal acquiescence to ALLOW or justify the unlawful MEANS toward "good intentions".
(ignoring torture, ignoring financial regulations, ignoring Civil Rights for example).
They "justify" everything. They are the "good" people....
  • intervening in people's lives, children, privacy, healthcare, bank accounts, highways,
  • intervening in their schools, local governments, police departments, banks
  • intervening in the markets, the economy
  • intervening in other Countries, other's Natural Resources... etc
BY FORCE (if necessary) always... and always with the very "best" of intentions...
mindlessly removing liberties; ignoring individual sovereignty to "protect" us
or National sovereigns to "rescue" or "develop" them....

They are NOT conspirators.... BUT
they are absolutely just as LETHAL and perhaps even MORE dedicated within their ignorance,
than simple whores.

A tyranny of good intentions is a tyranny none the less.
The Matrix is a system, Neo. That system is our enemy.
But when you're inside, you look around, what do you see?
Businessmen, teachers, lawyers, carpenters.
The very minds of the people we are trying to save.
But until we do, these people are still a part of that system
and that makes them our enemy.
You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged.
And many of them are so inured, so hopelessly dependent on the system,
that they will fight to protect it.

Were you listening to me, Neo? Or were you looking at the woman in the red dress?
Cheers.
G.

High-Speed Chase Ends When OnStar Halts Stolen SUV

October 20th, 2009
Via: [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. :

Quote:
When two Visalia, Calif., police officers swung their cruisers behind a sport utility vehicle
that had been carjacked at gunpoint early Sunday, they prepared for a dangerous high-speed chase.

Operators at General Motors Co.’s OnStar service sent a command that electronically disabled the gas pedal
and the The 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe gradually came to a halt.

The flustered thief got out and ran, but was quickly nabbed.

It was the first time since OnStar began offering the service in the 2009 model year
that it was used to end a chase.
Hello? Does my PaceMaker have OnStar?... hello.... doctor???

The Power of Nightmares

Like History? Historical footage?

A 2004, BBC-Adam Curtis, Documentary not aired (ever) on American media.
It traces the roots of the assault upon the philosophy of individual freedom;
Both within the American conservative movement through neoconservatism
as well as, a concurrent assault against individual freedom within the Islamic world.
The roots of policing the world; the roots of Islamic jihad;

An excellent, dispassionate analysis of the illusions on both sides
enabling what became crystallized and hardened into our current geopolitical state of affairs.
In the end, a compelling indictment of interventionism and preemption within Foreign Policy.

The Power of Nightmares
was first aired in three consecutive weeks
on [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. in 2004 in the United Kingdom,
beginning with Baby it's Cold Outside on 20 October,
The Phantom Victory on 27 October
and The Shadows in the Cave on 3 November.
It was rebroadcast, in January 2005.

------------------------------------------------------------

It's the utter irony and tragedy of where we are.
The more "one" side is demonized by the "other"....
the more self-fulfilling the paranoid delusions on BOTH sides become.
The people are herded like sheep into polemics, abandoning their freedoms (of thought)
and become hardened and entrenched; captives to the extreme ideologies.

The more articles like [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. that are passed off among the neoconservatives...
the more "justified" they feel in support of policing/nation building/occupying the world.....
and the more entrenched Sharia law becomes inside populations driven into the laps of
the "Fundamentalists" to "save" them from the "great Satan".
A mutually self-fulfilling downward spiral.

Did you notice in the above film how much Freer the Egyptian society was becoming in the 1960's?
All on its own..... Would to God, GOVERNMENTS and ideologues just stayed OUT OF IT.
We'd be SO much better off if society LAUGHED at or IGNORED
the right wing OR left wing radicals. (similar to the ultimate wisdom in rejecting McCarthyism).

Surely you have NOTICED how much MORE entrenched adults become when they are PUSHED?
or how vulnerable and BRAINWASHED they become when they are AFRAID?

..... tyranny and "fundamentalism" comes flooding in, and
Critical thinking and Freedom flies right out the door and out of their societies.....
...the People (including their women) are much poorer for it.

Another ambush.... masquerading as "interview"

Stewart held his own very well.

Another MSM on display as a virulent advocate
for trusting/defending the establishment
(right or left) in Washington at all costs.

One could just as easily insert Hannity or O'Reilly here
during a "Bush" administration.... only the scenery changes
not the destination.

There's no amount of blabbering that is going to convince
any individual with half a brain that standing down unconstitutional orders
is a bad thing.

My summary:
Chris Matthews: You're a right wing terrorist group. How crazy and dangerous are you on a scale from 9 to 10?
Stewart Rhodes: We're just advocating that our servicemen uphold the constitution and disobey unlawful orders, that's all.
SPLC: He's planning on subverting and overthrowing the government!
Chris Matthews:Aha! I knew it!
Stewart Rhodes: (rolls eyes)

Citibank Closing Credit Card Accounts Without Warning; Sending Letters Five Days Later

October 20th, 2009
Via: [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. :

Quote:
Shannon Burdette tried to pay with her Shell Mastercard after filling up her gas tank this weekend
but found the card rejected.

Citi confirmed the basics. The bank said in a statement it “decided to close a limited number
of oil partner co-branded MasterCard accounts.”
That includes not only Shell, but Citgo, ExxonMobil and Phillips 66-Conoco cards.

The close date was Wednesday, and letters were sent out Monday to customers.
The bank would not say how many cards were shut down or how much available credit they represented.

But unlike the bank’s move to shut down its Home Depot cards,
Citi did not discontinue the sale of these cards altogether.

No law, including the Credit CARD Act that has started to take effect,
prevents banks from closing down credit accounts without warning.
Credit card issuers all maintain the right, typically listed in the fine print on credit card agreements.

Citi would not say why the cards in question were shut down,
issuing a statement that said only it continuously evaluates its products.

“It is kind of an extraordinary action, but these are extraordinary times,”
said Ben Woolsey, director of marketing and consumer research for CreditCards.com.

RP on CNN

She's very receptive, friendly..... but clearly doesn't "get it".
"You Put People In Jail For Fraud. But We Didn't Do That."
...but Don't we need more regulations????
"We need the Regulations on the CAUSE.... we need Regulations on the FED....
The Regulations (on the Banks) come in a DIFFERENT MANNER...
the regulations come through BANKRUPTCY.
"
(and enforcement of FRAUD laws in the courts)
It doesn't deter RP from presenting/re-presenting clear logic.
I love watching the guy's patience. (and wisdom)

Bye Nancy.

[LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link.

He wants our troops to come home, She would consider sending more.
He abhors torture, She turns her head to it.
He wants to open the Federal Reserve’s books and audit the place,
She is trying to stop that from happening.
He is a Republican named [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link. and she is Nancy Pelosi.

Quote:
John Dennis is a constitutionalist and holds to views much more in line
with what our Founding Fathers intended than almost every Republican member in congress.
For this and many other reasons he is an attractive Republican candidate.
However, if I was a Democrat I would find him quite attractive also.
John Dennis is an adamant non-interventionist who wants an immediate withdrawal of our troops
in Iraq and Afghanistan along with a review of every one of our 700 overseas military bases.
He is an environmentalist and a privacy rights advocate.

At times like these when it seems the congressmen in both parties are refusing to listen to the will of the people,
John Dennis would be a great voice for us.

It is refreshing to see a candidate vying for San Francisco’s congressional seat
who is a true liberal who will fight for the rights of Californians.
John Dennis doesn’t pick and choose when it comes to liberty.
He refuses to divide them up into our civil liberties, economic liberties, sexual liberties, etc.
Instead in his own words he says,
“If we support some types of liberty but not others, ultimately we will be left without liberty at all.”

Pelosi on the other hand has railed against the people who have raised their concerns
over the direction the country has taken, saying they’re showing up carrying swastikas to town hall meetings.
This just reminds the people of San Francisco how long it has been
since Congresswoman Pelosi last came to a town hall meeting.
Her anti-war stance has been nothing but rhetoric,
and never tried to do anything to stop water boarding until being called out on it.
At times Nancy Pelosi has served her district well but now it is time for her to step down.
Especially since her approval ratings have been in a nose dive since shortly after President Obama’s election.
Meet John Dennis

From [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link.

(His Issues tab is one of the clearest and most itemized I've seen....
nothing hidden... that's different, huh. Take a look.)

Quote:
I propose the Federal government:
  1. Unwind and end both wars within the 6-12 months.
  2. Close all military bases outside the U.S. They are not constitutional and we can not afford them.
An interim step would be for each of the 700+ foreign bases to justify its necessity to the defense of the country.
Those that can not would be closed.
  3. Sell all non-vital assets, including the land, from the bases.
All proceeds should be earmarked for Federal debt reduction.
  4. Reduce income taxes commensurate with the savings made by reducing our foreign military presence.
  5. Abolish the Departments of Education, Commerce, Homeland Security and Agriculture.
The total savings will be approximately $300 billion.
  6. Repeal capital gains taxes.
This will attract the necessary offshore capital to start businesses and create productive jobs.
Any chance to save the U.S. economy depends on the return of substantial growth.
  7. Drastically cut, and ultimately abolish, the income tax,
an unconstitutional, growth stunting government revenue scheme.
  8. Federal budgets must have a surplus.
The excess revenue will be used to pay down Federal debt.
Debt repayment will free capital for use in the productive private sector, reducing interest rates and assisting growth.

Some Constructive Comments:

Like that platform - with a few exceptions...

on overseas bases -

the pre-possitioned stockpiles should probably stay - just in case...
and a couple of airfields on the other side of the world would be very useful.
There are also the radar, sonar and sigint facilities.

on abolishing departments -
treasury is part of commerce. You know - printing money and minting coins.
Also, we should deff keep the coast guard - that's now part of DHS.
