| Right. Somehow we get the proper information and process it. We stop the hijackers from crashing into the WTC and, oh let's say, execute them. Saddam goes "Welp. We failed. Might as well stop my campaign of genocide and terrorizing the Kurds. Seeing as how I lost the first time around." |

Saddam and his regime were Sunnis'. Syrians are Sunnis'. The Saudi's are Sunnis'. But..Iran is a Shiite theocracy---an enemy to Iraq party in power. Saddam had some form of a nuke program as his top nuclear scientist said; but it was supposedly torn down & hid when the U.S. was talking about WMD's and threatening to invade. Iraq and Iran had previously fought to a standoff with massive casualties on both sides with conventional weapons. Both, if they were the first to get a nuke would immediately use it on the other nation...ergo, nuclear arms race, 'mini' being locally conducted. |
