Overview of the Inauguration

The presidential inauguration is the official day that the President of the United States is sworn into office. The purpose of this inauguration is to honor the incoming president with formal ceremonies, including: a Presidential Swearing-in Ceremony, an Inaugural Address, and an Inaugural Parade.
The inauguration will take place on January 20, 2009 in Washington D.C. on the steps of the United States Capitol. President-elect Barack Obama will take the oath of office, which states the following:
"I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of the President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States."

SO WHAT? For God's sake, cut the man a break. Not everything is a conspiracy. The "so help me God" means about as much as the "In God we trust" on our currency, and you making a stink about the possibility that Obama will omit it is just as petty as atheist activists who make a stink about "In God We Trust" on money and "One Nation, Under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance.

And besides, he hasn't even been sworn in yet. You're condemning a man for something that doesn't matter, and that he hasn't done yet.
